I'm quite the fan of the K9 and so is my wife (which is why it's her pistol now).

I don't think I could go much smaller than a P9 or K9. I had a PM9 a while back and hated the short grip. I wanted a K9, but couldn't find a used one (they're cheaper), but I came across a used P9 with a nice price, so I picked it up.

The fact that my wife wanted a P9, before she walked out on us, had nothing to do with the purchase. But I will admit, it did sweeten the deal a little bit...

If you can afford one, the BHP is considered by many to be the finest sngle stack 9mm ever made. British SAS still use it, so it can't be that bad. The sig 2.39 is also a most excelent choice, and while pricey, looks like a steal compared to a BHP If you have a smaller budget, I like my ruger LC9...if I could only find a few more mags for it

Another vote for the Walther PPS. I’ve also got a SIG P6, but the little Walther is smaller, lighter, thinner and with the same capacity. The 3 magazine lengths and changeable back-straps make it a pretty versatile gun. Here’s a pic with the 3 different mags:

Under a J-Frame withy the 6 round mag:

It's got a long sight radius and a decent trigger with short reset. I'd say it's easier to shoot well than my P6 due to lacking the DA/SA transition.

IMO Beretta92 Compact L type "M"

When the weather warms up a bit out here Ill be looking into the new Beretta Nano for summer carry as an alternative for my all-year EDC G19

Walther PPS

My choice as well - I'd take an EMP if I could justify the cost, though.
The PPS is my "no excuse not to carry" gun - only for extreme deep concealment do I go smaller.
