As an accused Glock fanboy this might be a little painful. ;)

When shooting this last weekend I experienced a stovepipe in my Gen 4 G26. I was shooting rapid fire with a 33 round mag. Just over half way through the mag I had a phase 3 stovepipe. I think that's what they have been calling them. It's been a problem with the G19's for a little while. It fails to eject the round all the way and the slide closes on the casing while it is still horizontal. Slingshot the slide and it's clear and dumps the spent casing along with the round that was being chambered out on the ground. Believe it or not I have it on video it's not a very close up shot but it shows the round clearly not being ejected properly. http://youtu.be/K8huRdvJ7k4

The other issue was was a trigger problem. This was experience by a friend of mine as he was shooting my G26. The trigger had no take up and seemed to have a hitch in the pull. He has several Glocks and said it just wasn't right.

I called Glock this morning and they asked me to send in the gun. Glocks CS is so great. I called and talked to a live person right away. They sent me over to Tech support. He was very helpful and said they would replace the ejector and look at the trigger bar. They offered to send the parts to a Glock armor but I said I would like to find out what was wrong and then have it fixed. He agreed and was glad that they will have the opportunity to check it out.
I think I'll have them install some tritium sights on it too while it's there. $70 with a 10 year warranty is not a bad deal at all.

Please don't harass me with how your gun it better or Gen 4's suck. This is just an informational post. If you would like to hear my up dates or have had experience with these issues please participate.

I just hope you're not paying to ship it. I like the G26, hope it runs great when you get it back. The new ejectors help some and not others.

It's not going to cost me anything. I'll keep this post updated with any new info.

I noticed some erratic ejection in there too. It probably had a tight extractor which Glock will likely replace, and the new ejector can't hurt.

With the trigger, it could be a lack of lubrication problem. If you don't lubricate the interface between the trigger bar and connector the two parts can begin to seize up.

They'll likely install the "dot" connector while they have it if yours didn't already have it. The "dot" connector brings the trigger pull weight in a Gen4 down to the same as a Gen3 would have with the standard connector.

I'm not really in the know as far as these 2011 and beyond ejector problems in the Gen 3's and 4's. It seems what I've seen on here that it's limited to the 9mm's? Are .40's having this problem?

My Gen3 G27, NRR prefix with test-fire date Aug 2009 has the problem. An older non-LCI extractor made the ejection a little better but still not ideal, I've installed the new 28926(.40) ejector in it and I'm hoping next time I go to the range it'll eject like it should.

yeah it did toss brass in strange directions. unlike the G34 Gen 4 I shot right before. Here you can see the brass fall nicely to the side. http://youtu.be/wO7I9zWrOFA
I mentioned the erratic brass ejection to Glock as well. I guess there is a new ejector that is coming out in all the newest guns. I didn't think of the extractor though.
The gun hadn't been shot very much so I doubt the trigger bar was seizing up. But who knows. I wish I hadn't cleaned it before I sent it in. Would have been better to keep it in the condition it was in when the problem occurred.

Got the G26 back today. I really like the Glock night sights!
They changed the extractor and the ejector. The new ejector number is 30274. It appears they changed the "dot" connector. They said the trigger pull should be a little lighter. Right about 5 lbs I believe.
I hope to take it out soon and give it a good run. It might be a few days though, it was -20 here last night with a wind chill of -34!
Anyone in FL want company?

I got my G27 to the range with the 28926 ejector and it now ejects like it should. I'm happy with it but I won't be buying new Glocks anytime soon.

I finally made it out to the range yesterday. It's been warm for the last few weeks off and on. I finally had time and warm weather at the same time. 40 deg! This is unheard of in Northern MN.
I fired 33 rounds fast through the 26 and it functioned flawlessly. It piled the brass nicely next to me.
I think they did a good job of correcting the issue.
