Does the new Ruger All American Rifle really have a tang safety like the older m77s or is this simply a new location for the 3 point safety?::banghead::cuss:

GunBlast did a pretty good review/video as well...

Ruger also has a couple of videos on youtube. They are fairly informative.

Hope it helps,

Matt

To me, it sorta looks like a Tikka T3 with both a Glock trigger safety and a tang safety. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It would be interesting to see how accurate one would be in 308.

I wa son Ruger's site & i saw this rifle i like them but i couldn't find it in any magnum cals

Interesting concept frome the guys at Ruger. Nice price point as well.

The most popular and easiest to sell calibers will be introduced first. I'd expect the 1st rifles sold will all be 30-06. The other listed chamberings will come later. If the rifle is a beig sold in large enough numbers I'd expect to see the # of chamberings offered to expand.

Saw a couple the other day

Ruger and their film crew were at the Picosa Ranch in December while I was there on a hunting trip. I handled the 30.06 and 308 and was impressed with the stock, balance and trigger. Both of the guys killed a nice deer on video which will air sometime later this year on the Sportsman Channel. I am sure they will expand the options later. It is a nice gun and I plan to build me a "rainy day" rifle with one.

If Ruger would chamber it in 300 Weatherby Magnum i would gladly have one maybe later on they will & if not the Vanguard is my next choice . I really love Rugers they are one of the best & toughest guns ever made imo

Not a Savage trigger, though it looks like one.

The trigger pull will only adjust down to about 3 lbs. Depressing the trigger insert on a Savage lightens the pull to a few ounces (like a single set trigger). The literature says that the trigger insert acts as a safety, thus a Glock Safety.
