Instead fighting over tools, why not see if we can modify them to work better for us? We all have solutions to various firearms issues, we just need to share them with one another!

Here's my input: If you're packing any autoloading handgun, stagger load the magazine. One JHP to one ball. If expansion doesn't get it, penetration will. A secondary advantage to said system is that it is cheap enough, most anybody can do it, too.

LEO-related agencies can afford to buy ammo in bulk, Bubba Diet Faygo Rootbeer cannot. At least my solution gives him the tools to defend both himself and his family. It may not please the High Priest of Ballistics, but it will accomplish the former objective, too.

There is a reason no law enforcement agency anywhere in the world does this

so what's the reason ??

back in the day i used to leave the last few of a mag fmjs
and some like you switch up shot gun shells
but overall ill stick to high quality hollow points
but to play along why not 2 fmj's then 1 hollowpoint for mozambique shooting

I think in the major calibers you'll get plenty of penetration with HP's..and if they fail to expand you get a fmj anyways.

I'll stick with my affordable HST.

Now in a .32 or .25 I could see the logic. However, with a 124 gr bullet going 1200+ fps I think I'm good with HPs only.

Well, there are dumber things one can do with a carry handgun, like carry all FMJs.

I'd rather buy JHPs that I know work in my handguns and use them.

I wouldn't be so sure about the rest of the world but American Police departments...

Thank you, Bozwell. My ideation is to provide the poorer shooters with an affordable solution to home defense.
