What is your most fun plink. rifle: 30-50 yards?

The CZ-452 Scout is deadly accurate out to 50 yards and is a blast for both adults and kids to shoot.

A 1904 savage .22.

Definitely a .22. S&W auto pistol, Model 22a w/red dot scope.

My most fun gun is a 1950 Czech BRNO ZKM-468 single shot bolt action .22LR rifle.

Marlin 1894 in .357 loaded with some nice little butterfly sneeze .38SPL LRN. Shoots like a .22LR but makes bigger holes.

I am cheap when it comes to just plinking or varmint popping. I use a CMMG .22 AR upper either in 16" or 18". The 18" has the AR223 scope and golf balls are an easy target out to 50 yards whereby the 16" has a red dot as is the killer of golf balls out to 30 yards or so. I also use the GSG 1911 for messing about.

All my larger calibers are used mostly for pig popping; I really do not need but 10% of the weapons I have yet it is nice to know they are there. Hard to beat the .22 if your weapon is accurate for fun plinking and small varmints.

Don't really have a favorite any of my 22s will work fine. Love using the pistol cal levers and for that matter just throw in most all the handguns too.

Last summer I bought a Remington 722 in .222 from a friend who was selling off his dad's collection. It's very accurate, not much recoil and fairly cheap to reload. Some loads are better than others but I have yet to find a truly bad one for this gun. Great fun for punching paper on the 50 and 100 ranges at the gun club and good for the ego too.

I also have my H+R .22 rifle that my folks gave me for Christmas nearly 50 years ago when I was 12 or 13. As others have said before, it's still the winner for fun per dollar.

It has become the rifle that never not goes to the range with me and is loved by all.

There's just something about a .22 pump. Mine's a Winchester 62A.

I've realized that I shoot about 200 .22LR rounds for every CF, nowadays...

Most through a 10/22 with a can attached...

Is mentioning starlings and grackles at this point bad form..?

I also spend more time watching my guns being shot, than actually shooting them...

Pretty much a stock Ruger 10/22 that is extremely accurate out to 100 yards with Wolf Match Target. I have cleanly knocked the caps off of plastic water bottles at that distance.

Ruger 10/22 w/Prostaff 3x9. My vision sucks. Shooting beyond 25 yards w/o optics just isn't much fun for me, but using a nice scope or even a red dot makes all the difference in the world. My 10/22 is perfect for hitting shotgun hulls, golf balls, spinners, etc.

The SKS is fun, but not as affordable, (as are the PCC and Lever Actions).

Unless its squirrels or something small I'm going to eat then I use my Baikal (also Russian) MP161K .22LR with scope.
