I'm addicted!!! I went from 0 to 3 in 6 months. I sold the last of my autos, and started dipping into the rifles . The balance, weight, and feel reminds me of the k-frame without the weakness (nothing against the k-frame, but these seem to be a little sturdier). Here are the 3 I've acquired in the last 6 months. Two Security Six and 1 Service Six

Let's see your Ruger Six Series, I can't get enough.:D

My father-in-law has a blued Police Service Six from 1976 that I have enjoyed shooting. I'll try to get a picture of it next time we shoot.

Here is mine Police Service Six 4 inch. I have owned this revolver the longest. I also love the S&W K frame magnum too. But I bought my Service Six long before my first K frame magnum.
Security Six series were the best double action revolvers Ruger ever built.

Howard

My uglified, scarred up beast:

Picked her up about a year and a half ago for $190 OTD. Mechanically perfect. I think she sat in a tackle box that had some water in the bottom.
But when you take that gun that was cheap and ugly, mix in some Double Tap .357mag loads, and throw it in a Simply Rugged Sourdough holster, it makes one heck of a trail gun!
Powerful enough to hit authoritatively, already ugly enough that I don't care if it gets beat up, and works every time I need it to.

I haven't fired my Service Six. Can't get to my spot with all this snow .

Where did you get those grips? I want some!

CDNN about a year or so ago. The original's were mismatched and these were not expensive at all so I gambled and was very pleased. I believe they advertise them as Ruger Replacement Grips.

Absolutely love them

Though my service six shoots a bit high with 158gr but with 140gr right at POA.

Picked this up last week at a pawn shop. (Someone didn't pay their pawn loan off)
Security Six with fixed sights, made in November 1973.

Love them revolvers.

Here's my Ruger Vaquero Bisley in .44 along with its companion 1894 Marlin.

Nice to see them on a Six. I bought the same grips for my father-in-law's Service Six several years ago, but they are still in my closet. He likes the factory grips.

Probably the slickest DA trigger I've ever felt, not sure who did the job, but WOW
