Springfield XD/XDm in 10mm

They all but entirely shunned the GAP, I don't think the new XDm is even chambered for it. We have been asking SA for a 10mm variant for years. Honestly, I don't think it will happen.

I like the ten. I also liked the .45 gap.

For the last three years at the NRA convention and show I have talked to SA reps about this. They act like they would, but the powers to be won't do it. Next month will be my fourth year to ask.

Rib them like I do all the big MFG's of ammo and guns every so often. More you say 10mm and give it to us on their page it may register:

Your best bet is probably to have a grip reduction done on a Glock (like what Robar does ... there are other, less expensive shops out there, or if you're real brave do it yourself). Another option would be to have an XD/XDm converted to 10mm (either a .45 or a .40 or a combination of both) but that would probably be more expensive and less reliable than a grip reduction on a Glock (which is pretty much an aesthetic thing and not messing with the mechanicals).

Waiting for Springfield (and their Croatian buddies) to make a 10mm version of the XD or XDm is probably going to be a looong wait.

Intercooler, I just went to their page and dropped a hint about a 1911 or XDm in 10mm ;D

would buy a xd in 10mm in a heartbeat. been waiting for a pristine smith 1006 to come along, but i'd buy a xd10 over it in a second.

it took awhile for the XDs45 to come out.. at first they said they couldn't do it at all.. i.e. compact .45.. then they said there were no plans on a compact .45.. then they hinted that they could possibly make one, but there were issues in the design.. well, it's here now and it's apparently pretty nice..

so, don't give up on SA/HS on making a 10mm.. the more people ask for it, the more likely they will be to produce one..

the GAP happened.. who asked for it, i have no idea.. but they did make it.. as well as the .357Sig which is still offered in the XD..

Just went on their FB page and pushed for a 10mm Xdm. We'll see...

For the same price you can get a S&W 10xx 10mm, built like a tank, to smother any Croatian pinko.

Yes you can get a Smith 1006. Used and very large plus kind of ugly and limited capacity. In 10mm many other options exist and I'm glad! I would however like to see SA make one which is what this is about. Add on a Ruger GP100 10mm with 6" barrel and life would be great! Beat on Ruger too like I do.

AFAIK... The Euros and South Americans asked for the GAP.

HS Produkt still produces it for sale to the rest of the world, but Springfield Armory chooses not to import it to the USA.

HS Produkt determines what type/caliber of the HS-2000 series gets made, not Springfield Armory.

Springfield Armory is just the sole North American importer of the HS Produkt HS-2000 series of pistols.
