Just curious to see what other people have the most of between handguns, shotguns, and rifles (and, just for kicks, I'll throw Title 1 Other Weapons and NFA firearms on the poll, never know who may only have a PGO shotgun). But I don't just want to see the poll results...I want to see people say what they chose and what they generally use their firearms for.

If you have the same number of two or more options, then choose whichever of the options you would get next.

For me, I have more handguns than anything else because thus far I have a small collection, and I wanted to experiment with carrying different guns (e.g. a revolver, a pocket pistol, and an auto).
 
Seven revolvers, four semi-autos, one rifle and zero shotguns. I carry many of the handguns and shoot them all at the range. Rifle is .223 - no reason to have it as I have never shot it.
 
right now i have a
tradition vortek for deer hunting...insane accurate out to 250yrds..out shoots my dads encore all day and it was half the price

a cheapy khan o/u that shoots amazing and i love it..havnt had a problem with it in the 7 years ive had it..use it for shooting clays and the once a year i go pheasant hunting

ruger 10/22 SS with laminate stocks for plinking and squirrel hunting

RRA custom Match AR15 ...upper still on order

Cz 75B rsr special..just sold the other day so i can get the cz sp-01

H&R handi rifle .44 magnum..My GF uses it to deer hunt...solid little gun and shoot pretty well

universal M1 carbine..not a bad little gun but selling to fund a bullpup

colt anaconda...my secondary deer gun... absolutely amazing gun..with awesome trigger

next purchases in order..the sp-01...sig mosquito in hot pink for the GFs birthday..a bullpup... a ruger SR1911..ruger SR9C...and a 458 socom for my AR 15
 
I like them all, but I'm more of a rifle guy. They are the most fun to me. I love working up loads and seeing how tight I can get groups. To me, pistols are more of a tool. They are to perform a specific task. I have one for hunting and I need to get one for HD, but the rifles are where I enjoy myself the most, and they outnumber all the others by far.
 
It's pretty close between handguns and long guns. If I thought about it a while I could probably answer. But then again I'm likely to have forgotten about one or three unless I unload the safe and count them...
 
Handguns are more liquid to me than are shotguns. Most of my shotguns have some sentimental value so I don't part with them. I got into motorcycles a few years ago and trimmed my collection of handguns down to a minimum. I'm now rebuilding that collection. My second bike cost me the first bike plus a blued BHP, Ruger P345, Ruger SBH .44, Beretta 1934, Ruger Super Single Six, XD40, and a Bushmaster AR carbine. Worth it in my book.
 
Seeing as how I live in that silly state of Illinois, I can't carry, and I can't hunt with rifles, anything that I have that isn't a shotgun is for target practice. So I have 4 shotguns, 3 rifles, and 1 pistol....So shotguns win out here
 
I have more pistols than anything yet I consider myself a shotgun guy.

Pistols are more of a specialized firearm to me so I need more of them.

At least that's what I tell the wife. ;)

I am a good American, haven't you heard guns are bad! So I turned ALL mine in so I would NOT waste the governments time coming to get them. I am doing my part to bail us out and build the economy, buy doing so, hate to waste tax payers money!

Guns like alcohol and cigarettes will never stop being sold because they bring way to much money to the US...since when have guns killed people..I thought ppl killed ppl.....last I checked for a gun to go off someone had to pull the trigger ...please tell me that post was a joke ...buy getting rid of guns u get rid of jobs which equals an even worse economy..I really. Hope that was a joke
 
None of yer @#*!# business. Just what I want to do, put what I own on a public forum, have some hacker track me down, schedule a robbery! NOT!

At present between my wife and I, we have 5 pistols, 3 revolvers (one of which is black powder, and one .22), 3 centerfire rifles, 2 .22lr rifles, 1 BP sidelock, and 1 shotgun
