I'd been searching the interwebs lately looking for surplus .308. I finally found Ammo Supply Warehouse. I was excited because they had the DAG ammo I was looking for, but it got even better: they had Lithuanian surplus. I snatched up a 1,000 round crate of the boxer primed, annealed beauties for $575. I ordered it while I was out of town, and they were able to hold it aside for me with no problems, and delayed shipping till I got home. Just a pass along for all of you looking for hard to find .308 surplus ammo.
 
The prices seem rather high which explains why they still have stuff that everybody else has sold out of.
 
It's still cheaper than most of the commercial brands, and they stock what nobody else has. Plus, once I reload the annealed brass a few times, it'll significantly bring my overall cost down.
 
I would give Samco and their "may be slightly corroded" Portuguese 7.62 at .35 a round first. Even Ammoman has new production Prvi for $550/1k delivered.
 
Yeah, the lack of any significant shipments has driven prices up quite a bit. The last significant amounts I bought were steel cased Russian from AIM for $125/500 and special blow out on DAG for $250/1k from SG Ammo. Bought as much as I could figuring i could always sell it off later. Both were bought in the last 18 months which seemed like remarkable prices considering where things were three years ago in the post election panic.

They aren't stocking stuff that others don't, all the other major ammo dealers had it, they just haven't sold it because the price is too high. These things are cyclical so new shipments will come in and everybody will have 7.62 and the prices will drop.
 
Supply will go back up, and prices will go back down, yes. If you want ammo now, this is a way to go. Nobody else is currently selling the stuff, either Lithuanian or DAG. I'm sure if they were, they'd be charging just as much.
 
It works out to .72 cents after shipping for me. I can get Lake City locally for .70 if I want it. I found a place that had a bunch of once fired LC shipped for free in a 50 cal. can and I picked up some Pakistani ammo (and don't give me any crap about drinking water. That is the stupidest thing I think I have ever heard or read online :mad:) and the brass worked out better than anything else. And I got cans and links. :D
