finally got my first 1911

Congratulations, and welcome. As for magazines, look at the tripp research ones. They are just as good as the wilsons in resisting the first round canting forward, (common 1911 problem,) but they also have a metal band on the slide stop area. Best mags I've ever seen for 1911's.....

Thanks guys. Now I know why there's a cult following of the 1911 it's an awesome design. Pretty, powerful and soft shooting! No wonder why its lasted, very popularly, for over 100 years.
