Assuming you mean the Bersa Thunder in 380 ACP; I think it is a decent gun for the money. However, it is bigger than the other 380 sub compacts out here like the Ruger LCP, Keltec P3AT, S&W Bodyguard ect. The bore line is higher than most others in its class resulting in a snappier recoil (one of my lady friends had trouble with the slide locking back due to a limp wrist and not-so-good form). It is a reliable, rugged, decently finished gun and a good choice for the money.

Try several different in it's class, if you can, look for ranges that rent in your area ($60 in rental fees can save you hundreds in the long run).

Decide whether you want a single action with a safety or a double action only gun.

I have the regular model not the cc but I love mine!! And am planning on buying another! Great gun for the price and it looks great also!!

thr bursa 380

what do you guys think of this gun i have read all of the reviews because its a cheaper gun maybe that is why the reviews are so good.

Mine Is at almost a 1000 rounds, it's been 100% for me, I love the way it fits my hand and points very naturally for me. The only thing that annoys me is the cost of .380 ammo! The breakdown of the gun is very simple and is way more accurate then I am. Good luck with your decision I don't think you will be disappointed!

Some like to knock Bersa, likely because it's relatively inexpensive and made in Argentina. Personally, I think they're wonderful pistols for the price. The trend seems to be that those who actually own a Bersa are generally quite happy with them.

I was cautiously optimistic when purchasing my UC9 Pro due to the research I had done. The vast majority of UC9/40 owners were more than pleased with theirs. Now I'm among the vast majority.

Decent enough .380s but a little larger than a lot of the other designs currently being produced. Trigger pull is somewhat heavy in DA and the overall fit and finish can be hit or miss sometimes, but for their price point and intended use, I think they're a good value for the money.

I didn't really see much point in the .380. It is pretty large compared to other .380s and is similar to a KT PF9 or diamondback 9mm. I have shot one Bersa 380 and it was a fine shooting gun but I just prefer a 9mm for a pocket gun if they are the same size.

Hard to beat them for the money, especially when you can find their standard 380 used in the $150-200 price range.

I buy them whenever I see them priced right on the used market. They are great to recommend for family members who are not "into guns" but want something inexpensive to start out with.

Yes, the caliber may not be the optimum choice, and they are a little big for what they are, but they're dead reliable, light recoil for a blowback 380, well made and cheap. That's a combo that's pretty hard to match.

lady,

Don't you hate it when you make a typo and members razz you for it. Don't wory, they're good-natured. :D

I can't add much to what has been said but Bersa make good, accurate, reliable guns. I have the Bersa UC 9mm and like it so much that it is a nightstand gun for my wife.

I own and like my Bersa 380 (normal version), but I never carry it because my Kahr CM9 is smaller and 9mm. If I were buying one, I would look for the double stack version. Or the BP9CC, which is getting good reviews.

I like mine a lot, too, and carried it for a year or so until a Kel-Tec PF9 came along. The Bersa is the much-more pleasant shooter, though.

This guy likes his new Bersa Thunder CC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_RWl6L0BnU And mine has functioned without a hitch since I got this last Christmas shooting cheap factory ammo and reloads using plated bullets. My wife and daughter-in-law love the way it fits their hand and the minimal recoil as do I and my son. I usually carry it in an IWB but it's ridden in my front pocket on occasion too. I read a post on this forum by a LEO who carried his as a back-up in an ankle holster with a round in the chamber, hammer down using the decocker, so all he had to do was draw and fire. I ended up buying one for my son, too.

Thanks to all you guys that answer my question about the bursa, thanks again

Are you typing on a device that has auto correct? Is it changing Bersa to Bursa? Is youe E broken? No offense but you have done it 3xs

I have a couple of Bersas and a bursa that gives me fits from time to time, though ibuprofen helps. It would appear that I have both Bersitis and bursitis.

Hi All,

Bersa makes a couple of guns with "cc" in the name.
The Bersa Thunder 380 CC is a version of their most well know product. It has a 1/4" shorter barrel, a bobbed hammer, less prominent control levers (so as not to catch on anything while being drawn), and other "cc" features. It also strangely has one more round of capacity in the magazine, 8 vs. 7 on the standard version.

Bersa is also now making the BP9CC, single stack, 9mm, "Glock"ish pistol. It is polymer framed, striker fired, and has all the features expected on a 9mm concealed carry pistol.

I've got the 380 and it is a fine pistol. The differences between it and the standard size 380 don't seem significant until you put it in your pocket. The differences are enough to make the 380cc more enjoyable to carry than the standard 380.

I don't have the single stack 9mm so I can't address that one with any authority.

I have several Bersas and they work well for me. Check 'em out and see if they fit your needs and desires.

Check out www.bersachat.com for lots of Bersa information.

Good Luck to all.

Dan
