I have the GI in 9mm FS is a great gun. The sights though were too narrow for me. Had some fiber optics put on and its a great shooting gun.

Who put in your fiber optics and what sites did you get? How much did it cost you? I'm looking to have the exact same thing done to mine.

This simplicity, with the Keyes grips and channeling a WWII M1911A1, is gorgeous.

Exactly the way I prefer my 1911s.

Yes, a factory finish bright & shiny .38 Super one. Had two of these but sold one. Also had a parkerized .38 Super and a .45 officer's size one.

I have a RIA 1911A1 (GI model).

It required a trip to Nevada for warranty work because of FTFs. They replaced the mag catch, and now it's 100%.

Got the GI model last year. Great gun to shoot. Eats 230 gr fmj as fast as you can pull the trigger. Accurate. mine don't take to HP too well, has a problem chambering the HP. But it was made to to take FMJ and not HP anyway.
