A little while back I picked up a sweet Kim Breed Necker that many of you probably saw in the group-buy thread, got one for a friend who's a collector as well. Here's the two of 'em, his was untouched, mine was freshly wrapped (photo taken on 4/22/12).
Now one of my best buds wants one! He has a b-day coming up, so me and my lady are gonna get one for him
I've worn mine just about all the time since I got it, with the exceptions of while I'm in bed or in the shower. It is such a handy blade, veerrrrry sharp too!
Nice Bradley! I haven't had to sharpen mine in over two years! 'Thing is a razor, very well-built too, zero complaints after carrying it daily for some time now. I'd say you made a nice investment. Oh, and the only times I've ever cut myself with a balisong, it's always when trying something new. Now whenever I try something I haven't yet mastered, I put a piece of scotch or painter's tape along the blade, minimizes risk!
Wow, nice balis! I'm liking the Bradley. So far I have picked up the basic horizontal and the ice pick. The blood came from one I think is called the "suicide drop". I guess I didn't have enough momentum and the blade came out and into my finger instead of continuing it's arc. Oh well, live and learn.
And since this is a picture thread I snagged this one on Gunbroker last night for ridiculously cheap.
Next I'm looking for something a little lighter than the Kimura. It seems a tad heavy for me.
I loved and still love this post. It will never be deleted from my favorites file so that I can view it at will, however i often thought that I was a little nuts with more than a few knives but I now feel that I am more than normal. I am a user but not a collector.
For now, I'll just say, wow.
Some impressive blades here.
Just ordered a new knife.
After I receive it, I'll post
an image of my modest kit.
___________
Added by edit: For now,
I'll do what I can do:
post their names.
* Spyderco Manix 2 (EDC)
* SOG Seal Pup Elite (main camp knife)
* Kabar 7" (not sure I'll keep this one now; may be a gift)
* Ontario Gen II SP53 - the new one, a chopper for backpacking
I keep on coming back to this thread. I have a few knives and thought that I was nuts as my dad had only two knives in his whole lifetime. I must get my wife and sit her down to look at just a little of this thread. Ir is in my fave3s file so unless the computer crashes I can never loose it and can view at will. Thank you to one and all who posted here.
