Link worked for me. Looks cool. Some guys will give you a hard time for a paint job like that. Don't let them get to you. It's your gun, do whatever the hell you want to with it.

What's the price tag on that beast? Pretty specific specs for a first AR, you must have done some considerable field testing and research prior to purchase...

^ it's the package that Todd's Guns is offering, Stripdshirt didn't put that together, unless he is Todd, which is a real possibility :neener:

No, Not Todd. I wanted to go with a Rock River, and almost canceled due to the long wait time... It took him close to five months, just to get the rifle in. The bipod, fore end grip, scope, and fast fire were my idea. It was his decision to say might as well go all out and throw on a tac light/laser and add custom Hydrographics when he found out I was really into Zombies. When he finished it, I ordered the ejector port to really define it.

What, no suppressor?

Everyone knows that gunfire attracts zombies by the bushel, so unless you've got a truckload of ammo, I'd invest in a suppressor or a crossbow attachment on your rail interface for the silent dispatch of the undead.

Be advised, the crossbows are a royal PITA to co-witness with the scope package you've got there.

Although I like the Zombie theme, I really would have thought twice about buying a rifle customized by a guy that toutes a Zombie Hunter "port ejector" and specs the scope as being a 3X12X50.

The way that AR is put together suggests to me that they guy knows very little about ARs and their intended uses.

If it makes you happy, enjoy it, life is too short to worry about what others think!!

Looks great! How does it shoot? As long as it does what you want and you're happy with the way it looks, ya done good.

Lots of people [some may call them gun-snobs] are going to look down on putting together a gun that is clearly designed for fun as much as anything else.

You made a hot-rod, just like a lot of car guys do. As long as you're not going to tell us how you custom-designed the reticle for head-shots to incapacitate the living-dead, I say, "well done"

Very un-dead. But useful.

Have you shot it yet?

and, oh, by the way, welcome to THR Stripdshirt

I like the paint job a lot. I would set it up differently with respect to optics and foregrip/bipod but the overall theme is something I would own and I'm no fourteen year old.

I have a 14 year old and I like it. I doubt I would pay what you probably paid but I think it looks great.

The 50mm scope will do wonders when the zombies come out in low light conditions but I agree it needs a suppressor. How much does the beast weigh?

I figured some were not going to like it but that's ok, I'm happy with it and those I shoot with think it's pretty awesome as well.

It's different from the typical all black that you normally see, and that's what I was going for.

I really wish I could have put a suppressor on it but they're illegal in nys. Could have done a fake one but what's the point? I'm happy with the accuracy of RRA I've only had a chance to shoot it up to 150 yrds. And still pulling 1" moa, with everything on it though pretty heavy only advantage is reduction on recoil.

I agree, the "all-black" does get a bit boring, even when someone has every bell, whistle and "Barbie" (Ken) attachment to the extent that one cannot even locate the different gun parts to make the thing operate. Too many of them are way too overboard with junque for my liking. My feeling is, spending a lot of time trying to find this and that switch could be long enough to get someone killed if it is their defense weapon they cannot manage to figure out!

As others have stated, and I agree, the most important part is, if you like it, more power to you! Somewhere, someone stated something at one time about "men's guns." I believe my response was one of -- if I want to take a pink Chipmunk .22 kid's rifle to the range, or even a pink Daizy BB Gun, I will take it and shoot it and not give one thought as to WHAT OTHERS THINK!

Cool paint job. Not my style, but well done. Perfect camouflage for a smoky room.
