What is the last gun that you bought?

I just jumped into the 300BLK bandwagon last weekend. Got a complete upper for my AR15 chambered for the 300AAC Blackout (7.62x35). Mounted with a MI Gen2 12inch free-float rail. Can't wait to test it out this week!

oh lucky girl, my dad bought a Golden Mountie in the sixties and still has it today. It is, by far, the finest, most accurate .22 rifle I personally have ever fired. The gal with the new 39A is lucky! Of all pops toys, the golden mountie and the super single six are my most cherished to shoot and hold.

Well I still have my first gun which was a M97 Winchester my grandpa gave me. So no tears here. I have a LaRue PredatAR on order so that is close to being in my hand. I have a Kimber 84M in 257 Roberts on the road here as we speak and I bought an M1 Garand NM type a few months back that had a minor issue to be solved that is on the road as well. So I have alot to look forward to in the near future.

686+ Talo Edition

S&W 686+3" Talo Edition: I searched for months to find this, and I sure am glad I didn't give up; smooth shooting machine.

SR1911. My first 1911 and I'm loving it. It's like setting fire to a stack of twenties every time I go to the range though...

Sr1911

Your first 1911 is a Ruger, guess you are the new kid on the block in many ways. How do you like the Ruger version? I haven't shot one, nor do I know anyone personally who has one or shot one. I've been thinking about a 5" barrel version and the SR is one of the contenders. it surely seems like a reasonable price, looks nice and I've read good things on it. I have a Rock Island 3.5" 1911 and recently acquired (last holiday season) a S&W 1911SC E series (4 1/4" barrel). 1911's are nice machines. I stock up on FMJ ammo for range practice when it goes on sale. I find Blazer Brass between $17 and $18 a couple times a year and sometimes S&B or Fiocchi. I haven't had any trouble with any of these brands.

I know what you mean.

This may or may not work for you but I like to keep 'up to speed' so to speak with my 1911 skills but honestly it's gotten to the point where money is tight. So what I did was go out and purchase a 'to-scale' 1911-22 GSG (same exact model as the SIG 1911 22). This way I can literally shoot all day long (SV or HV) and still pay the mortgage (not sure which depreciates faster anymore, the gun or the house but now I digress ;))...

Still trying to re-aquaint myself with posting photos! Took this with I-Photo minutes ago. My latest purchase is this S&W Model 637-2 .38 for every day use here at Rancho Relaxo.

Not sure if this counts or not as I didn't buy it ... it was my anniversery gift from my wife!

That's a piece of beauty, Kimber Kid! You're a lucky man to have such a thoughtful wife. Very fine weapon.

Mine is a gem as well. During the great ammo shortage a few years ago, she went out and purchased a box of .38 Winchester Silver tips that cost a pretty penny. Some of us don't self load.

Only problem was she got them in semi auto and all my .38's are wheels! It's the thought that counts...so I sold 'em for what she paid and took her to dinner.

Image Question

How do some of you get your pictures to appear in your posts already opened up? What am I missing when I add a picture, or is it the way I am saving it? I'd prefer them to be open all the time. Thanx, Have a Happy Fourth of July!

Smithkowitz, you'll need a website like photobucket or Flickr to upload your photos to. Then select the size you want the photo to be, (too big means people have to scroll left and right to read, which is annoying) 600-800ish wide is usually best. Then right-click the photo itself and select 'copy image location.' Go to your post-in-progress, and where you want the photo to appear, there are two commands that will html-magic your photo to appear. You simply type them before and after the copied image location as follows:

that should do it. The preview button is your friend :)

Happy Independence Day to you too!

Got tired of looking for an old one so I bought a new one. Passed all the checks so here's hoping Remington finally got everything sorted with the Marlin Lever Actions.

Nothing like that iconic cultural Western Americana look!
