Anybody know what's going on with them?

Their Facebook page has magically disappeared, which doesn't bode well.

My order for 1,000 9mm reloads placed the morning of April 1 still is nowhere to be found. That makes this 3 months & a day. So, the first trimester is over. Are they giving birth to bullets & brass?:cuss:

Has anyone here recently received a shipment from Jack Ross and, if so, what was your order number to give me some idea of where I stand in the line of folks hoping they ever get anything.

I was forced to initiate a dispute of the charge with my CC company. This was the last thing I wanted to do, but a what was supposed to be a mid-April delivery still not appearing by July is reaching insane levels.

Am I being inpatient or do you think even Jesus would be getting ticked off by now?

I just called Jack Ross a moment ago at 1-877-818-AMMO.

No answer. Was unable to leave message as their voice mail is full.

Gee, I wonder what it might be full of? Perhaps angry messages laced with many an expletive would be my guess.

My roommate ordered a case of 147 grain reloads (9mm) about two months ago and it arrived about 2 weeks ago.

We both heard there was a long wait, at least 8 weeks, for the 124 grain and I'm pretty sure it's a small independent company so give him a break. With his prices he's probably swamped with orders due to the whole upcoming election sillyness

I understand it's a small Mom & Pop shop. But customers keep being told one lie after another. Mid-Arpil, the originally promised time, was two & a half months ago. Later their web site stated 9mm was back ordered by 6 weeks. I first read that in mid-April, and by my count more than 6 weeks has elapsed since then.

Then to boost customer confidence they magically fall off the face of the earth by having their Facebook page vanish. Their phones (both numbers) & e-mails don't get any reply?

I have given then a break. Not until now have I contacted them. I didn't want to waste their time on calls, since much better they spend every moment of the work day making ammo. I haven't complained before. But this has simply reached a level of insanity where I'm not going to sit back and gamble that my money hasn't been tossed down a rat hole. Seems buying ammo from Nevada is a gamble.

you're not the only one.......

Placed my order for the 1000 reloaded 9mm back in May. No ammo yet. I knew there was going to be a wait so I am not too worried yet. Got lots more to shoot still in the safe.

Well can't you cancel? I was on their site the other day and they were out of stock on all. For 9mm their are plenty of low cost options than dealing with any wait.

Well can't you cancel?

Kind of hard to convey a message of "cancel" to a company that is impossible to contact. Calling either of their phone numbers gets no answer. It gets a voice mailbox which is full, thus I can't even leave a message. Presumably it's full from customers who are feeling worried that they may have thrown money down a rat hole.

You can e-mail them. That also produces no reply. I patiently waited 3 months before trying to contact them. I didn't want to waste their time, as I felt producing & shipping ammo was better than having them chat with me.

Jack Ross will be getting a notice to cancel the order by way of Chase which has taken the charge off my credit card after I disputed it a few days ago. This certainly isn't the way I'd prefer to communicate with JR, but they give me no other choice as they lay low ignoring phones, e-mail, and social media. BTW, I lack a fax machine otherwise I'd have tried that too.

I too have an ample supply of ammo on hand. My ammo stash must weigh as much as I do & I'm not a small guy.

I to knew there was going to be a wait. It's the endless misrepresentations (whether intentional or not -- I don't know) that have me ticked. The simple fact is they took way more orders than they could possibly fill within a time frame even close to that which they promised. "Mid-April", "6 weeks." Yeah, right. Every 6 weeks a new rolling 6 week period will pop up.

They're clearly under-capitalized are charging customers at time of order -- several months before they'll ever see any ammo -- is their interest-free alternative to a small business loan. Banks would charge an interest rate that reflects the risk of their venture failing. Customers instead are providing that financing for free & bearing the risk that they may never see their ammo nor a refund.

After reading this thread I'm glad I didn't buy from Jack Ross ammo!

KJS, I know you have an ample amount of ammo on hand. Just in case, here are two decent deals on 9mm ammo from two great companies to do business with SGammo and Freedom Arms.

I have cancelled even with no contact. Just call the credit card rep and dispute the charges.

Yeesh. Nothing destroys a business relationship like an unresponsive seller. Mentally adding this one to the "do not buy" list.

freedommunitions.com has about the same prices on reloaded 9mm ($189/1000), $10 more for NEW rounds, and no wait time, they are a bigger company.

I've used SGammo 3 times and each time the order shipped out the same day, arriving 2 business days later. I'd highly recommend them.

+1 on SGammo. I don't think you are asking too much for some kind of response from Jack Ross.

Just to give you guys a heads up, there are several ongoing Jack Ross complaint threads on several different boards in the last few weeks. It seems that quite a few people are taking a bath from Jack. Over on XDtalk, there are quite a few who are in the same boat. One guy was able to get Jack on his cell, and was told that they would refund his money. He was told they would send him 2 refund checks for his 2 orders, because it is faster than trying to do credit card refunds. When he got his checks, guess what? They bounced!!!! :what: No joke, avoid Jack Ross ammo like a Bangkok hooker.

Good luck to all of you who are waiting on ammo with them. My suggestion would be to initiate a dispute with your CC company before the Jack Ross ship completely sinks.

This is one very valid reason for ALWAYS using a credit card for internet purchases whether they are gun related or not. If this happened with a money order or even a debit card you would be in for a long wait in getting your money back.

Just curious but how cheap were they that you knowingly accepted a 6 week delay? I can barely keep up with what I bought last week.
