Most ridiculous price for a gun

Completely aside from an asinine price, that guy comes across as a huge <removed>.

I saw a bubba-ized Mosin-Nagant for $500 on a local classified ad recently. That made me go :uhoh::banghead: for a bit.

You can hit the "flag for overpriced" button on that site,, I just did. That's just being an ass. I had written a smilar thread in the announcement section of Fl Gun trader", where people know that they are selling to felons, when they are asking 2-300 over list for a plain used, old, stock taurus or glock, The only one who is going to pay almost double is a felon who can't walk in and buy one legally.
So this guy sent me a email that he understood, but he felt it was because of the "UN", and that they were going to ban all guns so people wanted guns off the grid.
I laughed and told him he's drinking the koll aid. Before that happened we would more than likelly have a revolution, so he shouldn't be concerned with storm troopers coming to his house.

There is definetlly something mentally wrong with people who do stupid things like that. I think it goes way past greed, it might be interesting to speak to a guy who tripples the price of a handgun. For 5 minutes, just to see if they were completelly mad, or a complete jerk. Maybe a little of both.
Perhaps they think the gun has some magic powers.

I feel the Remington 572 goes for way too much when compared to, say, a 10/22 or Marlin 795 for 200 dollars or less. It even costs more than many 'premium' .22 rifles.

it was ether late last year or early this year at a local gunshow i saw a johnson m1 for 15,000$.

I've seen a lot of people on various forums and armslist posting used guns at or even above what a new one goes for. Sure, if it's a collectors piece that's one thing but most of these have been run-of-the-mill guns.

Perhaps he meant Iver Johnson M1 carbine. Considering I paid $250 for mine a couple of years ago I would think $15000 is a bit too steep.

$1800 dollars plus shipping for an 870 pump with an under bite.:what: :)

I'm sure they rock.

Sounds like a real bargin!

A rugged built gun that can take heavy use and +P ammo and "keep on a gittn it." ..(gosh, I could be describing my own self here of my freestyle streetfighting - except for the +P ammo part, lol!).
Only serious replies of cash offer on this mechanical jewelry.... I call it that not just because it costs nearly as much as my wife's wedding ring
And the guy sounds like a real winner as well:scrutiny:
