funny, today I got another offer to buy the gun I was shooting. I was teamed up with three guys whom I've never shot with before. Anyway, I brought out my 2010 Shot Show Special Browning White Lightning 20 gauge with 30" long non-ported barrels. They made 200 of these and I was lucky enough to get one.

After the first 50 targets one of the guys asked if he could take a couple shots with my gun. I gave him the opportunity. He hit a pair of simo crossers, right off the bat. Then he tried another station, killing three more pairs. Should have seen the smile on his face. He looks me straight in the face and says, "I need to have this gun". The he says, "how much". I told him it was not for sale, emphatically. He comes back with, "everything has a price". I smiled and said, make an offer. Without a second of hesitation he uttered, "$2000!" I said immediately, no again He came back with a counter, "$2800!" It was hard but I said no for the last time. He did give me his address and phone number, should I change my mind.

I proceeded to dust all of them with high score which made my new found friend wanting my gun even more. It was a funny day... :D

I had the same dilemma a few years back, ended up selling my 28ga O/U for about $1k more than I had into it. Proceeded to buy it back for even more after the next grouse season.

Some things are just priceless...
The value of anything is determined by the seller and the buyer. You sir have a $2800 dollar shotgun in his eyes, and a damn nice one at that!

Great looking shotgun. Typical Browning, beautiful wood. I sold my Browning four barrel set a few years back.... kicked myself ever sence . I'd keep it and let your new friend clean it for you.

I can agree, most anything has a price, but I wanted one of these guns as soon as I found out about them. I hunted and hunted until I finally scored. Bought it slightly used in the box with all the accessories. I did install a Pachmyar sporting clays recoil pad, without it the gun could bite!!

How badly do you need the money? If you have debts to pay or a gun you'd rather have then sell it. But twice I've been talked into selling a gun that I still liked. Each time I've regretted it. YMMV.

I don't need the money at all. And, I know exactly what you're saying about final regrets. I've done it myself, a few times... :(

Ohh if I could have back, my;

Ruger single six SS with the Mag cyl.

My first rifle, the Ruger M77 30-06 my dad bought for me

That '94 Winchester 38-55 with the hoop lever

My pre-ban Clinton era Colt Sporter Ar-15 with the bayonet stud

2 RA C&B pistols

I wish to heck I had never sold/traded a one of them now, and I swore to myself I'll never sell another firearm as long as I live..

I love that gun. I can afford to outbid the guy. The thing is, for what it would end up costing me, I can get another Guerini.

But if he backs out, let me know. :)

I don't know, my uncle and I talked about me buying his Remington 541-S .22 rifle for about 15 years before we finally closed the deal...

not selling it, too hard to find. I love shooting it at just about anything, even water jugs at 50 yards! :)
