I have a Glock 22. It shoots 6" to the right of center at 10 yds. I set the rear sight (heine) far to the left and it is now point on. Man, it looks goofy. I had others shot it (not that I needed to as I am a reasonably good shooter).
My question is what could be the problem? I have a after market barrel and guide rod... but these did change anything. The frame seems well aligned with the slide.....Thoughts????

Yes....I've shot it with the after market Guide rod and barrel as well as the orginal...no difference. I have it sighted in but it looks goofy with the rear sight so far to the left. Looks like I will have to suck it up and send it in to glock (on my dime I guess), They didn't seem interested in paying for shipping.

It's a glock, thats the first problem...lol... Just kidding around. The older plastic guns all seem to shoot high left. Don't know about the new ones. But 6" to the left seems alittle extreme. Instead of sending it to glock have you ever thought of put on a new set of sights. If it shoots good groups but just to the left, if you put a set of sights that are adjustable both front and rear it will split the different. The rear sight will only be half as far to the left as it is now and the front will be shifted to the right.

Or you could put a red dot on it. Just something to think about.

As far as the problem with it shooting so far to the left goes, I would be willing to bet that the sights aren't centered on the top of the slide (in line with the barrel). A new slide may also fix the problem.

Or better yet, trade it in on a new Ruger, S&W, or any other metal framed gun...lol...Sorry, couldn't help myself. Good luck

Could be the way you are holding it? Too much finger on the trigger? I have a friend with a new M&P 40. He was complaining about it shooting left. I shot it and had all inside the 7 ring at 50'. It seemed to fit my hand better than his but no he wouldn't let me keep it.

Either there's a crack in the slide (happened to my 2nd gen G17) or it's the shooter. Not too many other possibilities. I'd also make sure that the slide lock and locking block aren't defective.

Sent it off to Glock and go it back. I have not had a change yo go to the range but I will report results afterwards. Howeveer they sen me back a test target, hand held with 5 shoots... three in one hole and two 1/2' apart.

Did they mention how far away from the target they were? I can put all 5 shots in one hole as long as the target is no more than 2 feet away! haha
Good luck and stay safe,
Mike

No they did not say. Looks like they adjusted the metal tabs on the frame.

always bench rest it best as possible to check your gun's zero, then go from there. there's a lot of muscles and lever points in the wrist involved when breaking a shot. I know I've surprised myself...
