What are the next guns you'd love to have (whether you have the money or not)?

This worked before: but as I was rereading my posts and yours I realized my priorities had changed as well...

1. Modern 6.5x55mm (then a Swede to go with it!)
2. 338 (leaning towards the Federal, but would take a Win Mag ;) )
3. M1A Scout Squad
4. Something varminty (17HMR, 22 hornet, ???)
5. 454 Cassul Freedom Arms

Greg

Limiting it to rifles:

1. Ruger Mini-30
2. Mosin Nagant M9130
3. Kel-Tec SU-16C or CA/Saiga in 5.56
4. Ruger American in .308 or 30-06
5. Kel-Tec SUB-2000

Wanted badly to put a Saiga in .308 on there somewhere but just couldn't justify it.

1. A Pair of Riussian SVD Dragunovs.
2. A Pair of Mini Dracos to SBR.
3. A Pair of Yugo PAP Pistols to SBR (just bought them).
3. not sure
5. not sure

I have a pretty nice collection, but, the following are at the top of the wish list right now.

1- IMI Galil .308
2- Ruger No1 .257 or 7x57
3- Hunter town .22 suppressor
4- AAC M4-2000 suppressor
5- $ to SBR the 2 lowers in my safe.

  • Winchester 1876
  • Winchester 1895
  • M1A (M21 outfit)
  • Dragunov SVD- an actual Russian
  • HK PSG

Two rifles that almost made the list were the Knights SR-25 and the FN SCAR, but seeing the list is limited to five rifles, I figured a few classics were needed for balance. I might swap the SCAR for the HK PSG, on second thought. or maybe not.

Rifles only? Ok, then:

1) finish my 7x57 Scout Rifle project
2) Ruger #1 RSI in 7x57
3) Winchester 94 in .38-55
4) Mauser 98 based 9.3x62
5) SIG-556 Classic or Kel Tec SU-16c

1) Blaser K95 in 6.5x55
2) Mannlicher Schoenauer in 7x57
3) Holland & Holland double rifle in .375 H&H
4) Lyman Ideal Sharps in .38-55
5) AR10T in .260 Rem

1. marlin 39a Mountie
2. Cz 527 carbine
3. Rem 700 bdl in 243
4. Cz 455 American
5. Dpms .308

Well lets see..

Keltec Sub2000 with G19 grip. (I have been on waiting lists forever)
Colt LE6920 or similar model
Something in .50
Aresenal AK
CZ .22 or leveraction maybe

Ruger #1 standard or Light Sporter .243 Maybe
Winchester 70 Super Grade in .270
CZ 550 6.5x55
M1A
CZ 455 17 HMR

Also Winchester 92 in .45 Colt

Well, mine is a mixture. I seriously doubt I'll ever drop 2grand on a pistol no matter how beautiful. I'm also not sure I'll be able to afford the M1A while I have kids in the house. The others are reasonable...

1. Sako 85 Hunter 6.5 Swede
2. CZ-550 UHR 300 WM
3. Winchester M70 Super Grade .270 WCF
4. Mauser M 98 in 8x57(with optional safety and cheek piece)
5. Henry Lever .22

I'd have to agree with that.

For rifles I'd like the following:

1. Kimber Talkeetna (.375 H&H Mag)
2. Kimber 84M Montana (7mm-08 Rem or .308 Win or both)
3. .450 Bushmaster upper for a spare BM lower
4. Marlin .44 Mag lever action
5. Marlin .454 Casull lever action (if they ever get around to building one)

For handguns:
1. The Freedom Arms already mentioned (with a 4-3/4" or 5-1/2" barrel)
2. A polymer framed SIG of some sort

... and that's about it really.

I already have my wish list.

Garand
Lever 22
AR
CZ 527 x39

If I was a hunter it would be a good idea to get something in 308, but I'm not.

I spied a 'Farmer' CZ bolt action the other day, very ergonomic. Wouldn't mind having one.

1. A nice bolt .280
2. A .308 on the AR platform
3. A Ruger #1. Several calibers would work. I just want the rifle.
4. A 7mm STW with a muzzle break
5. A nice bolt in .257 Bob

Limiting myself to rifles, in no particular order here's my semi-dream list (subject to regular change):

  1. Shilo Sharps 1874 Sporter #3 in .45-70 Govt
  2. Savage Arms 10FCP McMillan in .308 Win
  3. Winchester Model 70 Jack O’Connor Custom Tribute in .270 Win
  4. Weatherby Mark V® Deluxe in .257 Wby
  5. Anshutz 64 MP R Multi Purpose in .22 LR

1. AR-15 5.56 (with a 6.8 SPC II upper and mags)
2. DPMS .260
3. Serbu .50 BMG :D
4. M1 Garand
5. Yugo M76 (Just something about that gun that makes me want it)

I have so many rifles that I dream about that are way over budget. So I'll keep this realistic.

1. Savage 10/Stevens 200 action for a custom long range gun. Will probably go from .308 to 6.5 Creedmoor.
2. Marlin 1895 SBL - Love those guide guns
3. VZ-58 or something to shoot 7.62x39
4. SCAR-17 - Hopefully they come out with a mk20 for civilians soon. Or a PTR-91 GI
5. Marlin 39A

I will probably sneak a few others in there overtime as well as pistols and shotguns. My tastes are subject to change.

1. CZ 6.5x55 FS
2. Marlin Lever 38/357
3. Marlin 39A
4. Tikka T3 Sporter 6.5x55
5. Threaded 308 bolt gun

I have what I need but If I was to get 5 more, It would be.

1 - Winchester model 70 super grade (.270win.)
2 - CZ 527 laminated varmint in .223
3 - CZ 452 American in .22WMR
4 - Browning 1886 rifle (45-70)
5 - Ruger SS blackhawk flattop .44spl.

A realistic list would be:

1. Tennessee Valley Late Lancaster long rifle, at least a .62cal with upgraded wood and brass or German silver metalwork.

2. Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken .54cal.

3. Uberti 1866 rifle, .44Spl.

4. Uberti 1876 .50-95.

5. As much as I prefer 19th century designs, I'm getting the hanker for a nice lightweight, blued steel and walnut boltgun in a mild cartridge like the .250Savage, .260Rem, 7mm08, 6.5x55, etc.. The Holy Grail would be a Mannlicher-Shoenauer 6.5x54.

Marlin .454 Casull lever action (if they ever get around to building one)
It would have to be a new design, nothing existing can handle it.

True ... but it is a wish list after all and I'd love a Marlin type lever action chambered for that round.
