Smith @ Wesson M@P compact

I just got the 9mm version on Wed, took it out to the range today. Love the gun, hate the trigger...but I'd planned on getting an APEX trigger before I purchased it anyway.

I've got one and think it's great. Mine has a decent trigger, which must be rare from what I read on the internet. I would not pay more than $500 unless it has some options like upgraded sights, extra magazines, etc.

They're $450ish at Bud's right now, even cheaper for the mag. disconnect model. I've got the 9mm compact and I'll echo the sentiment on reliability and ergonomics and less than stellar trigger.

Gun is excellent, but that price is very high. Paid $500 for mine from G&R Tactical with factory night sights.

I had an M&P9c for a while. I should never have sold it, and will buy another. It's a top notch carry gun. Recoiled less than you'd imagine, and pointed naturally like a larger gun than it is.

Off topic, but "@" means "at." The "&" (called an ampersand) is the symbol for "and."

I have an M&P 40c that I mostly shoot with a 357 Sig barrel in it. Overall I like the gun a lot and I think the ergos are fantastic. The trigger could be a bit better but it's not bad and I find that once I'm a round or two into the magazine I stop noticing it altogether.

I love the feel of it,I'm on a list to see a s&w shield when my lgs gets some.I'll make my decision then.

My first automatic was a M&P .45 compact, with thumb safety and no mag disconnect. It was one of the very very few autos that seem to fit my hand.

I've had it a little over a year now and I'm still pretty happy with it. The only things I don't like are that the thumb safety doesn't have much resistance to click on or off, and the trigger has no detectable reset.
