When I was a young man, the owner of a local BSA/Yahama dealership did something similar. He took home the last BSA Rocket 3 crate in his warehouse, replaced the top and front of the shipping crate with glass, and used the result as a bar. AFAIK, that bike has still never been fully assembled or started.
