Help: Have Rem 870 - what long gun next?

Get a .22 for sure and then Get a Marlin 94c.

Marlin 94c

As you can see I have pretty much covered the entire spectrum and yes I am still pretty young, 26 to be exact. I have loved all my guns and still love many of them but the Marlin and the 10/22 are still my two favorites. They are both great for plinking and fun days at the range. One shoots the most inexpensive and with .38specials the other can still be very cheap to shoot all things considered. One is a great survival rifle and perfect for small game while the other can still take small game with .38s while being able to drop almost anything in the lower .48 with the right full power .357s. ARs are fun and so are many other guns but if I could only have two of my long guns it would be these two.

You can get alot of mileage out of a .22 rifle for a few $

10/22. The Arsenal is really really cool but the 10/22 is cheap and fun to shoot, and it runs like a Swiss watch.

I voted lever gun but by that I ment a .22 lever gun, I love my Henry, great shooter and just plan awesome!!

Given that the original poll question said nothing about what he wanted or why, I voted. 22lr. I would further add it would be tube fed and capable of using LR, long, and short ammo.

Yes, I saw the update, however, if "harder to buy in the future" matters to him, a centerfire semi-auto is first. Hands down. No question. End of discussion. But the likelihood of a 1994-style ban (or worse) is very small.

That said...first gun I ever got (birthday present) was a 10/22. I still have it and always will. Still have the original mag although I added a 25 rd as well. Nothing wrong with choosing a 10/22.
