Well I finally got time to tackle my old stevens model 107b single shot 12 gauge.

I am not sure if the shotgun works. See my problem is the firing pin falls if the gun is tilted.

I disassembled it and I am holding the receiver in my hand. If I hold it up in the air the firing pin sinks down but if I point it down, the firing pin comes out. I am not sure if that is suppose to happen. You tell me.

Secondly, There is some wiggle room between my receiver and buttstock (where they connect). Any suggestion on fixing that? I was thinking about ordering a new stock but I figured maybe some bondo and/or tape could provide a temporary fix.

Finally, there is a small screw on the front of the barrel. Is that suppose to be a sight? Assuming it is. Just not sure cause it is kinda inside the barrel.

Are pictures needed? Thanks in advance.

That's a floating firing pin, just means there's no return spring built in. I don't know about your specific shotgun, but that's normal on lots of firearms.
