What is the last gun that you bought?

Remington Model 1900 my Dad gave me, made between late 1900, early 1901. A few days prior, I bough a NIB Beretta Model 92A1.

Winchester Model 290 .22 long-rifle. Had a Model 190 back in the 70's, and gave it to my son. Been looking for another that didn't appear to have been sitting at the back door for 30 years. Stock is good, and finish is about 98%. Price was right, and it came home. :)

Love the thread, lots of great pics and information on such a wide-diversity of guns. Yet I might have to unsubscribe as my seemingly abysmal discipline feels as though it's on the verge of collapse . Maybe I could justify an immediate purchase as an 'Welcome Fall Gun, a pre-election "necessity”, an early Christmas Gift, my last gun for a while’ etc..

Ha ha, here's one to egg you on a little further.

I also got the Rossi for just about half the price of either of the Marlins. I guess it is true what I heard has happened since Remington has taken over Marlin.

True, but the good news is there is still tons of good old Marlin 336s out there. Got this one last week at a Pawn Shop in near new condition for $350. Made in 1957 (no crossbolt safety, which is what I was looking for), it has a factory Williams rear peep sight. Fantastic. Action was a little stiff at first, but it is quickly becoming butter smooth. I don't think this one was fired much at all. Love the balance and pointability of this old 30-30. I see why everyone likes these fine guns so much.

'Course, tomorrow I'm picking up my son's Christmas gift. Orderd him a Crickett from Bud's, so I'll have to post pictures of that when it arrives.

Never get tired of the classic American Lever Action Rifles--Sweet and I know your son will be very happy as well come Christmas time!

-Cheers

This is the Thread that never ends...it goes on and on my friends. Haha!

I just picked up a Savage 340C in 30-30. It's my first new gun since I picked up the new Ruger SR1911 two years ago (well, the Ruger WAS new at the time I picked it up). Both good guns at good prices. I'd be greedy to ask for anything more.

Picked up a nice JC Higgins tube fed bolt action 12 gauge at the gun show this past weekend. Loads just like a pump and has an 18-20" barrel, I really like it and for the steal I got it for can't complain :)

It's one of these for sure :D

Actually it was my Mossberg 500, and before that the M&P9 Pro.

springfield savage semi auto 12 GA

Pre WWI savage arms semi-auto 12 GA. Marked Springfield over Savage? 4 digit # for 105 out the door. Walked in LGS and just put on consign for 75. Said I WILL TAKE IT!

My latest acquisition is another M1 from CMP. This one is a beauty. It came with a NM barrel and a brand new CMP stamped Boyd's stock and handguards.

S&W Mod. 645 I think it's had some use but it had no problems with the 150 rounds of various ammo Wed. Must have still been asleep. Had to edit. Can't gind the gun on line yet so I don't know if I got hurt at $425. Too late now but I like it so I guess it makes no differemce.

My latest is a Sako AV 30-06 with a Fiberclass stock. Late eighties vintage.
I'm really liking it so far with its excellent fit and finish. Nice crisp 3.5 lb trigger.
Now to work up some loads and see what it likes.
I am getting just over an inch with 180 grain core lokt factory ammo.

Scored a nice P64( Circle11) , with the Wolff mainspring& recoil spring swap already done.....Makarovs are easy to carry- this one's easy to FORGET you're carrying it....suprisingly accurate little pocket rocket to boot....stiff safety, though.

Black Powder.

I won't bother you with purchases for resale but my own personal purchase was a Ruger Old Army cap and ball. Wanted one for years and a guy walked up to my table at the gunshow last sunday and had nice one. Can't wait to shoot it.
