I like Parvi Partizan 243 in 100 gr soft nose bullet.
It will kill deer, wolves,etc.
I like it because the price is excellent & I like the cases as I get more reloads from them than any other cartridge.
People say they leave your gun dirty---I say that is why they make gun cleaning kits.
Have fun

I have found that the Federal load with the Sierra 85-grain HPBT is as accurate as my handloads with that bullet--which has worked well on some two dozen bucks.

Inside the chest cavity, it creates a double-handful of yuck.

In a 243 any factory load will work from 55 gr to a super tough 100 or 105 that wont open much. Such a bullet will do less damage to the hide.
Winchester has a 55 gr
105s look to be a hand load.

Thanks everyone For your input next weekend is deer rifle season up here. Then I'm going to borrow my daughters .243 for My first wolf hunt in northern Minnesota the weekend after Thanksgiving. I figure it would be a better choice than my 30/06.

Another vote for the Sierra 85 grain HPBT Federal load. These are death on any decent hit on the local blacktails or antelope to at least 400 yards.Should be perfect on any wolf.

i have never shot a wolf.
but i shoot loads of deer and have shot loads with .243. The best bullet i found for out and out killing was hornadys 100 gr interlock. so any loaded ammo with that in would be good. a lot depends on your rifles twist rate. if it will shoot 100s, go with them. sure deep penetration with the right bullet.

Cheap 100 grn Winchester power points or Rem. Corelocks will work on any critter in the yote size up to small blackbear size. They can be had at just about any retail sporting goods store. And they shoot pretty accurate also.
