I have the up most confidence in my g26. Its ran anything I've put through it with no problems and is quiet accurate for such a small gun. I run 124 gr. speer gold dots for edc.
It also carries quiet comfortably in my galco king tuc holster at the four o clock position. It conceals easy for summer or winter carry.

I ccw a G33 in a Sidearmor IWB. Same size as the G26, I just like the 357sig caliber better. I always have a 13 or 15 rd extra mag with me. FWIW, I do have a G26 and just use it for GSSF matches. I have a factory 40 cal barrel for the G33. I use that setup some times as a range pistol or GSSF matches.

I was at my LGS/range a few weeks ago during the Beretta Nano "Test Drive" event where for a nominal fee you could shoot the Nano and one other Beretta of your choice. I shot the Nano and the M9 flavor of the 92FS. I didn't fall in love with the Nano, and I was heartbroken over how little love I felt for the M9, given all the glowing reports I've read here and elsewhere. It's still on my 'must have' list, but fell down a peg or two. (I'd go for the Inox. CDNN has a sweet deal in their fourth-quarter 2012 ad...)

Since I had the range time and a couple boxes of 9mm that I otherwise couldn't use (I have all wheel guns right now,) I decided to rent a G26 to burn it up. I absolutely loved the G26. It felt great in my hand, and I was shooting much tighter groups with it than either the Nano or the M9. The range officer told me about the GSSF league there, and that I'd probably do OK shooting in it given what I did with the rental.

Ever since then, I've been wanting a G26 to do double duty of CC and GSSF. (Perhaps the latter with a G19 mag and sleeve?)

Old Faithful Holsters is having a 25% off "Black Friday" sale that continues until Monday the 26th (coupon code "xmas" good for anyone,) so I ordered a holster kit for the G26 and a holster kit for the wife's Ruger SR22P.

Davidson's is having a G26 sale right now that expires on Nov. 30, and they rarely have Glock stock anyway, so I'm trying to find room in the budget...

Hey John,

If you haven't fired a small Glock before that range outing, you might want to experiment with the G27, G30 and G36. Surprisingly, to me, although the G26 was the easiest to control, the 45ACP round (G30 and G36) was much less "snappy" than the 40S&W (G27). I would add that, although there were some early reliability questions with the G36, when I rented a G26, G27 and G36 on the same day, firing a box or range ammo from each, the G36 (single stack column, lower capacity) felt so much better in my larger-than-average hand I couldn't think about small Glocks without the G36 jumping to the top of my list.

BTW, I have a Taurus PT-92 (M9 copy) in SS that I really do like, but not as much as any of my beloved wheelguns!

6 of um

I have a G-23,G-27,G-19,G-17,G-35,G-30

And I am SOOO looking forward to the Gen 4 G-36.

It might even take the place of the G-23 that I have EDC'ed for over a decade as a primary.

It is easier to conceal than the 23 and even though less rounds,I see going the route of a 7 shot .45 with a fast reload as a very good solution to my idea of a CCW belt gun.

btw,I do edc a BUG also.

My E.D.C. gun is also a Glock 26. I carry it in a Galco IWB holster and it hides easily. I keep Corbon 115gr DPX loaded in it for defense. I also own a Glock 17 and the fact that the G17's 17 round mags will work in the G26 is a big plus for me.

Balrog, the G36 is smaller than the G30 and similar in size to the g26/g27s. The big difference in the 36 is that it has a single stack magazine and, therefore, a thinner grip.

JJ1962Hemi - Thanks for the info, but I'm sort of settled on a 9mm, mainly for ammo costs. I don't shoot enough to get into reloading right now, but I'd like to shoot something that costs less than my current Walmart .38 spl WWB. .45 ACP wouldn't do it, although a Ruger SR1911 is also on my "bucket list."

I've actually strongly considered the Taurus PT92 to check off the Beretta box on my list mainly because of the frame mounted safety/decocker. I've read nothing but good things about it here on THR.

Well, I had a heart-to-heart with the missus this evening, and asked if I could spend some of our kids' inheritance, and her exact words were "you better buy a gun before Obama makes it impossible."

I'll leave a range report when the G26 Gen 3 comes in! Thanks to all for the valuable input.

Another difference in the G36 is that it has a revolver-like capacity and its genuine Glock family brothers won't share their mags with it. Stick with the G26...much better choice!!!

Balrog, the G36 is smaller than the G30

He was properly comparing it to the G19/23, not the G30

similar in size to the g26/g27s.

Incorrect, it's closer to the G19/23

The big difference in the 36 is that it has a single stack magazine and, therefore, a thinner grip.

Semi single stack, actually, but that's not the issue. The G36 grip is longer, front to back, than the G26/27

I carry off and on for 43 years, the last 10-14 it's been a 26 or a 27, and now a shield in 40, since I carry 2 guns most times, I sometimes mix it up, also with a 30 and an xds, they are all great, the 26 conceals the best with a 10 rounder in it, and is the lightest. After that it's just a matter of taste, I like a 9 or 40 for my backup, and a 45 for my primary, The xds suits me fine for that, with 2 extended round holsters it is terrific.
You need to decide that you are going to carry all the guns you carry with a round in the chamber, so holster choice is most important with glocks.
The shield has a safety and the xds also has a grip safety, for me I prefer the gun in my groin to have a safety of some sort on it.
also I prefer a wider grip, so gocks work for me better as far as stock, the others need a hogue or other grip modification or they get too thin for my large hands.

I've been POCKET carrying my G26 in a Desantis Nemesis holster for over a year now. Works just fine in jeans or khakis. And comfort is unparalleled.

I carried a G33 for several years in a Galco IWB holster that I modified for deeper carry. I think it carried very well, although I have since switched to an even smaller Kahr.

Well, I picked up a Glock 26 Gen 3 today. Can't wait to get it to the range, but that's going to have to wait a few days.

Shot the G26 today. No problems, shoots like a dream. Waiting on my Old Faithful kydex hybrid holster.

Add what you may. It still is a little brick. When making subcompact Glock just made the lenght and height shorter- did not do anything to width. To me that just sucks.
