Kahr CW45 vs. Springfield XDs vs. Glock 36

I just got an XDs and I love it. I put 100 rounds through it and not a single issue or malfunction. I've only shot the Glock 36 once, and it was nice, but I opted for the XDs due to it's smaller size.

If you're familiar with the G26/G27 the G36 has a slimmer grip, a slightly longer grip, slightly longer slide and is slightly heavier when loaded. I find it very comfortable.

I don't know about the XDs but typically Glocks have slighlty better out of the box triggers than XD/XDms. The advantage of XD/XDM/XDs pistols is that the ejection port is relieved so you should never experience a case flying back into your face. Particularly at the wrong time. XD/XDm/XDs pistols have conventionally rifled barrels so you don't have any need to add an aftermarket barrel to shoot cast lead loads.

It is an additional cost, but in my opinion the XD series of pistols with their steel insert locking system is well worth the price of Powder River Precision's trigger kits. I have one in my full size XDm and it has to be shot to be believed. To get a better trigger with trigger stop, you'd have to spend $1500 for a good 1911.

Staying with my G36. I did really like the the XDS, but I just listed it on GunBroker. There is nothing at all wrong with the XDS, it was just a little to small for my large hands. The G36 just fills my hand a little better. My XDS never failed after 200 rounds of about 6 different ammo types

I'm fond of the Kahr myself. It points better than the others, and has a nice trigger, not as light as the other two, but smooth.

i thought the kahr was lighter than the G36. or maybe im thinking of the PM45.

I own a G36 and a CW9, which isn't exactly the comparison you're looking for, but as far as the Kahr goes, the size of frame, trigger pull, workmanship and reliability can be compared. I love the G36, which is about 10 years old, very reliable, shoots everything I've put in the mag, easier to take down than the Kahr but sale price is probably today $150 more than the Kahr. I like the physical size of the Kahr as it is easier to carry being physically smaller and is lighter. After breaking it in, the Kahr is just as reliable. If I would recommend one over the other, I would get another Kahr mainly because of the cost difference.
