Superformance powder help!!

the hodgdon online data only lists superformance in the following cartridges:

22-250
243
6mm rem
243 wssm
25 wssm
280
30-06
300 ruger compact mag
300 wsm

Superformance

Since you have a 30-06, you may find this powder very much to your liking.

My 30-06 like expensive bullets when it comes to accuracy. But using the Hornady #3037 bullet (150gr BT-FMJ) which is not expensive, and 60gr of Superformance, I get touching/overlapping holes at 100 yards.

Now, this may be just me, but I think the velocity is higher with less recoil. There are yet more tests that I want to do with this powder, but at this point after a few years trying lots of powders and bullets this powder is my 30-06 favorite.

I use it in my Winchester 70 in 30-06 with 22" barrel & BOSS.
Best load was 62gr with a Hornady 150gr SST, 2816 fps. 4 shot clover at 84 yards (max at the free range).
63 & 64 gr did not show any signs of pressure, were close to as accurate, but only slightly bumped up the velocity (2824 & 2858 fps), so I settled on 62 gr.

FYI, works great in 243 Win too.

Just looking at the calibers Hodgdon lists loads for?

I would guess the .308 doesn't have enough case capacity to use it.

Superperformance is way down the list slow on the burn rate chart.
Slower then H-4831.
