Why is the hk usc on there? it was made to be compliant in the last ban; is it because it can be converted to a ump ? I love how rare guns like the sig 57 are on there; they almost dont even exist anymore.Real stupid & uneducated legislature....

Anything black and/or with a pistol grip goes on the list.

Also noticed Beretta CX4, Kel-Tec Sub2000, HiPoint Carbine and all variants of the Thompson. None of which are even close to their imaginary "assault weapons".

This is rather incredible. And the fallout to the firearm companies in terms of revenues and in general the loss of jobs that may be even remotely related to the firearm industry. I'm still trying to get my brain around the concept that regulating the law abidding somehow assists in reducing gun related crimes or crimes in general. The report to Congress just finished by Mr. Krouse in Nov. 2012 states that this doesn't work and that virtually none of the guns identified by Ms. Fienstein were used in crimes or killing folks.

Very frustrating. Some folks actually believe this drivel and trying to talk to them about it is like teaching a pig to sing. But thank god that we may be saving the lives of some miscreants along the way, and the criminals will feel safer and more secure while walking our streets amoung law abidding victims!

Sorry for the rant.

Thanks for the link, I was looking for the list. Like someone else mentioned, I was surprised to see those pistol carbines on there. But then again, they do look evil to the uninformed.

Semi-auto rifles an shotguns with barrel shrouds, grenade launchers and rocket launchers... Really?!? I guess I won't be able to mount my Carl Gustav on my Browning pheasant gun anymore.

Dear lord this woman is ignorant.

BTW , what's the capacity of a semi shotgun when you remove the plug?

Compromise is the answer. I'll give up rocket launchers and belt fed semi autos from their list!

Sent using Tapatalk...so please excuse the typos!

Notice the poison pill near the bottom.--``safe storage`` aka ``ask a burglar or repist for a time out while you get your gun``.

She`s gotten smart/sneaky to drop the deferred confiscation clause.

Note, too, the no transfer of "grandfathered" items.
So, in an estate situation, would that be an "illegal taking"?

Not that it really matters--Heller & McDonald establishes the "commonly used for defense of self and others" and that blanket bans by type/description are unconstitutional. Which does not appear to be slowing the bills being presented.

Since "barrel shroud" is one of the forbidden characteristics, the Remington 8's and other early Remington autos would all be forbidden, though presumably grandfathered in if permitted under the bill's requirements. In fact the old Remingtons are the only semiautos I know of using actual barrel shrouds. I don't see them on the "these aren't banned yet" list.

Is this woman my wife or something? Did I get that drunk? She seems to think the government has the authority to start sorting through our firearms based on what she's afraid of.

I think that may be the Democrat's plan. Get her to deflect our attention and give her enough rope to hang herself, then push through expanded NICS checks and other things. Because this bill is just... insane. It's not a sane piece of legislation. It's unaltered fantasy.

Feinstein's Website said:
The legislation protects hunting and sporting firearms:

The bill excludes 2,258 legitimate hunting and sporting rifles and shotguns by specific make and model.

After looking at the bill on her website, I did not see the specific list of those "legitimate rifles/shotguns" that are excluded....At least for now...

Also, what guarntee is there that they will not want to ban those other 2,258 rifles/shotguns at a later time?

All in all, I feel that I will be spending alot of time this year writing my folks in D.C. and donating money to help defeat this. Money that is already tight, and will be tighter in this economy.

the way i read it since transfer and sale will be prohibited, when the owner dies the government takes them.

Whats the value of an item that is illegal to sell or transfer?? passage of this bill would cause billions of dollars of value currently in citizens possession now to evaporate overnight.

Remember with Obamacare it went through a difficult and lengthy period of haggling and amendment before it passed, and that was with D majorities in both houses and in many respects a more favorable public opinion. The process was long and difficult.

So let's watch where the action is. If Feinstein's bill just sits there in committee with nobody amending it or altering it, there's a good chance it will die there or be sacrificed at some point. If on the other hand there's a lot of attention by Senators to the lists and factors, we should worry more. The Senate isn't the New York Legislature. Nothing "just happens" there. It moves like an absent minded slug, and is designed to.

After reading the list of weapons at the bottom, it seems my LWRC rifles are not specificly banned... And since they are not a gas impingement design like the original AR-15, it must be ok.... So stupid....

Thank goodness she never makes illegal the tools that give her comfort, including the evil death ray known as the .357 Magnum (and a permit to carry it).

Don't think for a minute that any decision by the Court is safe. I fully expect this President will have at least 2 more nominees before leaving office and they will most likely be the youngest members of that Court for some time. Heaven help us if something unexpected should happen to one of the sane members.
