Kel Tec 9

My first subcompact carry gun was a PF9 and it was a piece of garbage. Very picky with ammo, woudnt shoot anyother other than 115gr, and kicked worse than a snubby. Hated that gun. Got rid of it and picked up a Kahr CM9 and couldnt believe the difference in the shootability. Like night and day

I have a PF9 and love it. I bought the extended mag adapter from Kel-tec so it is 8+1 and I still pocket carry it. I know some folks have had problems but this one has been 100% with any ammo I've had in it.

The PF9 all the way. I just got rid of my P11. I have had the P11 since 2004 and never had a malfunction after the first magazine (700 rounds +/-). I have had the PF9 for about a year now and love it (300 rounds +/-). It is everything I wanted the P11 and P3AT to be. It is a great blend of the best of the other two.

I did not find that either were difficult to shoot. I actually enjoyed them more than my Ruger P95. Ergonomics is everything when it comes to shooting comfort for me and both Keltecs directed the recoil comfortably for me. The Ruger tends to direct more of the recoil up from the muzzle for me and I find that less pleasant.

My latest purchase (S&W SD9VE) is smooth as butter and directs the recoil straight back similar to my Keltecs... but about half the recoil force.

My $0.02...

Love mine, very reliable, I've even mixed 115gr FMJ and 147gr JHP in the same magazine and it eats 'em up.

Trigger reminds you of a double action revolver, and recoil is "snappy", but never found it to be real bad.

I love my p11. I bought it when they first came out. Had to send it back they lighten the spring and polished the feed ramp. I installed a trigger shoe and have fired many many rounds through it and no problems. One of my best carry guns

I love my PF9. It is reliable, lightweight, thin, easy to carry, and easy to shoot.
Everyone is different, but to me the felt recoil is less than with my P3AT, and the trigger is good for it's intended purpose. My PF9 gets carried often, more often than most of my more expensive guns.

The ONLY thing I do not like about the PF9? That silly rail they stuck up front!
Enough with the 'rails-on-everything' already!
.

I like that rail trim mod. As far as ammo goes, mine have functioned with everything I have put thru them, reloads to factory, all weights and velocities.

I had a PF-9 and sold it. Not that it was a bad gun - it went bang every time I pulled the trigger, and I put a Hogue Handall Jr on the grip to help with recoil.

I just decided that I would rather carry my Springfield 9MM EMP instead. It's much more comfortable to shoot and nearly as easy to carry. I've never been a pocket pistol guy.
