WH photo of Obama skeet shooting

Wouldn't matter to me if he honestly shot 10 rounds every day and was a world champion skeet shooter. The 2nd amendment isn't about skeet shooting.

One choke tube and firing the upper barrel ?
A LOT of smoke for anything I see going off at the clays ranges.
No recoil at all evident.
YOU decide!:banghead:

I am not even sure that is him. Lousy publicity photo that doesn't show his face? Jeez, I could photoshop better than that, and I don't even photoshop.

Skeet is a crossing pattern, regardless of height. Sporting clays same idea - there are rabbit or snipe targets that are low or even roll on the ground.

I think the President needs some practice with his form. The shotgun doesn't seem to fit him very well. You may notice essentially no recoil. Has to be creme puff loads. But skeet loads tend to be light.

Lots of times the first barrel you shoot from in skeet or clays has a tighter choke so the second shot (if you miss the first) has a wider pattern when the target is further away. If it's 20 gauge and a light field load there isn't much recoil. Gun stock is a bit high on his shoulder though...

He's just trying to visually back up his deliberate misinterpretation of the Second Amendment (as pertaining to hunting and sports), disregarding what the SCOTUS said in Heller--it's nothing more than the devil quoting scripture with a little divide & conquer thrown in.

And the copious black powderesque smoke? The lack of upward movement of even the ported barrel shouldered like that and the ejecta obviously left? And the missing lower tube in the high end gun? Sorry today is groundhog day and I don't see any shadow!
Besides he is a lefty !!!!!!

My guess is it's a photo op or just backyard clays as he only has one choke in the gun, firing upper barrel most, not all, skeet shooters shoot bottom barrel first. I shoot a lot of skeet and the gun does not fit him at all. Given that mount, I'll bet it slapped the p***s out of his cheek. :D

Guys, look at what we accomplished, do you realise that a month ago, this would never had happened. For him to put out this obvious display of appeasment, he realises he made a mistake.
This from the beginning , by handing it to joe, was a hot potato. If Biden elects to run, he will say that he couldn't even get legislation passed after a school shooting, "should he oppose Joe and endorse Hillery, "which looks like it's feasable.
He had to set himself up so that no matter which way this went, he didn't lose.
now he can say he did the best he could, the people prevailed, and that's it. But you never would have thought a month a go the president was going to be all over the news shooting any kind of gun, So what did we learn form this?
We do have the power to influence the Govt. if we stand together.

I don't know what kind of shotgun he's shooting in the picture, but I know President Bush shot $100,000 custom Holland & Holland guns. I wouldn't be shocked if the guest guns there are $25,000 a piece and custom ported to make them comfortable for all the guests to shoot. He's the president of the USA, he's not going to be seen with an Academy sale-bought Benelli. He's going to be shooting only the best... on our dime...

Yeah.

If I were President, you're darn right I'd have some of the finest (US) made shotguns for sport at Camp David! And I sure as hell wouldn't want to throw my shoulder out due to poor form (honestly, I've rarely seen anyone shooting with professional-perfect form). You gotta look good in front of the cameras.

Multi-thousand dollar O/U
Private Skeet Range
Personal Assistant to Collect Hulls
Personal Assistant to Carry Shotgun

He's just a regular guy, clinging to his guns and religion...

I've seen him throw out the first pitch during the World Series; of COURSE it's a powderpuff load.
But as others have said: a) this type of pic never would have been released if we weren't so darn persuasive; b) I think I'm more interested in a picture from behind his shoulder, watching the clay get hit (or not); c) I wonder what all was on the to-do list for that day in 2012? To-do: get pictures with a gun, one with a pistol, one with a bulldozer burying guns, one breaking a board karate style, one making pancakes, one eating pancakes, one saying "oh I hate pancakes", one working on his car, one planting a tree, one chopping down a tree......

He's obviously shooting baby seals, kittens, and puppies.

All with a copy of the Consititution taped to their sides.

:)

As others have pointed out, his stance is awkward.....holds the gun like he's sighting a rifle. Certainly not crouched, leaning forward into the target.

I've zoomed-in on the pic and it's too blurry to make out for sure but it might be an SKB or a Win. 101, but it doesn't look like any high-end gun to me.
