I'd use it to move out of CA so you can really buy some gunsIve sold my dear old 1990 v8 mustang for $3000. I want to take that cash and convert it to a single firearm. I have all my bases covered and don't need anything. If you were going to splurge on something, what would it be? I'm looking for ideas. Thanks.
Absolutely but the 7.62x51 is now $3300+. This would be my choice. I think The Predator model is $500 less and almost 2 pounds lighter but still with that LaRue excellence.LaRue OBR
$3K will get you a nice mid-range Beretta or Browning O/U. They make much more expensive guns, though I'm not entirely sure what that extra expense really gets you.For a $3000 shotgun, I'd be looking at a Browning or Beretta O/U. Either will serve you well for years on end.
I envy your proximity to those clays.
This would be one on my list.I, personally, would get a Wilson Combat Professional Lightweight 1911.
Whatever you choose, have fun shopping!
Transferable Mac-10.
Nephew spent money on other things so still waiting for him to save it up again for the car. I was 99 percent certain was sold. I do see the humor in the ar jokes re prices. My preferences are for blued firearms and walnut stocks. Still heavily leaning towards a sxs or ou shotgun for shooting clays. Doubt I will do better at it than I do with my Mossberg 500.Uh...guys...DumasRon dug this thread up from a deep November 30th grave if you hadn't noticed.. If the OP hasn't spent that $3000 by now, it is only worth about half in guns what it was several months ago....now it may just buy a Stag AR-15.

That was the plan several years ago. However, I ended up putting a scout scope on a 30-30 lever action with a 16.75" barrel. I fell in love with this setup to the point that the Styer scout is no longer necessary. I can't argue that a 308 is balistically better but if my 30-30 isnt enough In those cases I have a 30-06 or a 45-70.I think I'd go with a Steyr Scout, a Leupold scout scope, and some 308 to put through it.
