Hey guys, we've got two polls, both in the Hartford Courant that really need our support.

Poll #1
Poll #2

Please vote. We're losing big time on poll #1.

These are in CT, the epicenter of this whole mess, since the shootings happened here. We really stand to lose a lot. Our state, as the home state of the Newtown shooting is really trying to hammer us.

Voted, thanks for posting

Voted.
I don't mind voting for those, but am reluctant to do so with others when I have to sign up, give all my info, then respond to an email.

Just sayin'

Keep those polls coming. They're important for guiding public opinion.

I'm really impressed by the responses to the second one. Only 6% think the gun proposals are reasonable!

Voted on both.

Our freedoms are still losing on #1, but poll #2 is looking good.

Not doing to well in the first poll.

Yes. It's time to get rid of this loophole that allows people who shouldn't have guns to get them easily. (375 responses)

No. It won't stop criminals from buying guns. It would just put a burden on legal gun sellers. (248 responses)

Poll #2 a little better.:)

Do gun controls proposed in the Connecticut General Assembly go too far?

Yes. A final report hasn't been issued on the Newtown shootings, so we don't know yet what could have stopped them. But lawmakers are using the opportunity to propose all sorts of restrictions on legal gun owners. (1765 responses)
79%

No. The murders of 20 children and six women who died trying to protect them require this state to do something about the proliferation of guns, particularly military-style assault weapons (123 responses)

They're beside the point. What are needed are better ways to detect mental illness and treat it. (360 responses)

Better percentages than when I initially posted. Keep up the good work! We're catching up!

We're still behind 52 to 48 on Poll #1. Bumping to the top in the hopes we can get a few more votes. We're a total of 32 votes behind.
When I initially posted it was 76 to 24, so we've made up a lot of ground. Cmon guys, once more. Let's trounce them!
