I just received a phone call from US Congressman Steve Womack's (R-AR) DC office. They called to inform me that the Congressman is voting against any further restrictions on the Second Amendment, and that they would keep me updated as the bills progress (or die). The young lady then spent some time giving me the Congressman's background of support for the Second Amendment.

I think the calls, emails and letters are starting to get some attention!
Now is the time to redouble our efforts!

I guess I'm out of touch.

Somebody's screwing around with gun rights in Arkansas? Arkansas? Somebody doesn't understand somebody's demographic.

I've sent 5 letters to my politicians using Ruger's link and those provided by others. Usually I get a vague form letter back that states how the politician is pro gun but... blah, blah, blah, working towards blah, blah, blah.
I got a weird letter back from Mark Warner saying that if I have a problem with any Federal agencies to call his office. Very weird. I don't know what to make of that especially since he's gotten very wishy washy on the 2nd Amendment this year.

Lucky, I just got a canned email back from my senator saying how he (Dick Durban) was the original sponsor of the Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act, and how clearly a majority of US gun owners and hunters support common-sense measures like his. :barf: My congressman did tell however how he has an A+ rating from the NRA and will not vote to pass a single bill. :D
