I see where Duck Dynasty's CEO, Willie Robertson is on the ballot for NRA Board of Directors. Like seeing new faces fighting for 2nd Amendment....he might be a good addition to the board.

I enjoy his show, but does anyone know anything about his stance on 2A issues? Duck Dynasty really isn't a hunting show, and is even further from a gun show.

I've seen them with pistols as well as an ar15 on the show. So it seems like he wouldn't be in support of banning any "evil black rifles" but I don't know for sure.

You have to have seen the Robertsons before there was Duck Dynasty. They are very pro 2A. He is also a founder of Buck Commander.

Their appearances don't fit the stereotypical "normal, intelligent person". People think they are backwoods hillbillies. It's simply not true. Phil actually has a masters in education. And Willie has a business degree. They are just honest, hard working, and very entertaining. But I've been watching them kill ducks for many years.

Watched that show one time. Entertaining.

The dad (Phil) said something I'll always remember. He dumped a bunch of freshly killed squirrels on his wife's kitchen table and said: "If you bring your wife plenty of squirrels, she'll never turn you away in bed."

Liked that guy instantly. Maybe his son is a chip off the block.

I think "Uncle Si" is the real star of the show. These folks could be "Bitter Clingers", they hunt, own guns and thank God for what they have.

Ok, he has fired an AR15 on his show and likes to hunt; but Chuck Schumer has fired a Tec-9 and we all know how John Kerry crawls around on his belly with a shotgun while deer hunting. What does Mr. Robertson think about the Second Amendment? Will he be a good spokesperson? I have not watched the show.

I love the show but that has nothing to do with his stance on 2A. If he will legitimately stand up for ALL of us (AR,AK,handgun owners, CCW carriers, high cap lovers, etc.) and believes how we do then that would be fantastic!

I do feel that he is a very real person and very down do earth. I did see a show last week where he was sleeping in his RV and his relatives opened the door and fired three shotgun blasts into the air to wake him up. I really really didn't think that was appropriate,,even on tv for "comic" effect.

I have reason to believe that he would be pro-CCW. In an episode, Si says he never leaves the house without "the Bible, a gallon of tea and his Tupperware glass." Willy looks at him and replies "What about a weapon?"

The man has demonstrated his ability to entertain and articulate about a lifestyle that includes a respect for and love of firearms. I hope the NRA puts him on their board of directors and listens to his input.

I would hope people would vote based on a candidates ability to best preserve gun rights and promote the responsible use of firearms. One should consider how this can best be accomplished in modern times and i believe one of the most imprtant aspects is how broad of an appeal a representative will have. If gun rights are to be preserved it is critical that more demographics be turned on to the hobby as the demographics of the US are shifting. Groups that promote gun rights and shooting activities must start appealing to as many people as possible. White conservative males alone will not be able to preserve gun rights in the future.

Well, judging by the ratings of the 3rd season premier the other night, they Robertsons appeal to plenty of people.
