Dan Ford aka Alabama Dan passed away here in Bessemer, Alabama Friday morning. I first met Dan in 1972. I know over the years several of the forum members have converse with him and I know he will be missed. You all take care-Cliff

Sad. I guess when his wife passed away last year, it just took everything out of him. Rest in peace. I hope his nice M34 finds a worthy home.

He has a daughter and grand daughter. I will miss him.

Dan was my unmet brother. Only a year older than me, he was one of the group of Vietnam veterans and retired LEO's that formed a bond here and supported each other.

This should tell you what kind of person he was. He sent me this this past November prior to Christmas.

Yes 22-rimfire my friend-

I have good days, and better days; there are NO such things as a "BAD DAY", as The
Good Lord blesses me somehow each and every day~! True, I miss my bride dearly;
but myself and my very small family pull together. All I have have left is a precious
daughter, and a darling 8 yr. old grand-daughter, and a son-in-law; with my sweet
Saviour Jesus Christ seated at the head of the table~! I keep going, pushing myself
too the limit sometimes; and when I fall, my Lord Jesus Christ is always there to pick
me up~! Hope you and yours have a Blessed Merry Christmas & Happy New Year~!
