How does $135+shipping sound on a used Mec 600 JR in 12 Ga? Comes with a 1 1/8oz charge bar and one powder bushing. Has some new green bottles good paint and looks rust free.

Sounds a bit high to me as well

And I believe the new ones come with a few powder bushings, not just one. Mine in .410 did. I love it by the way. I can reload .410 for under $4 a box, have you seen the price of factory .410 lately?;)

Yes, maybe a bit high.

New from Midway is $178 and the new ones do come with three bushings. Although, bushings are not expensive, it does not take too many until you have real money invested in them. I have 20 or 25 of them but I do load 4 gauges on MEC 600jr's.

Shop around, you may be able to find a new on for a deal.

Maybe if you could see it in person it might be worth paying a little premium but since you mentioned shipping, that sounds like it is not possible.

As an aside, MEC 600jr's are great, i have four of them. Keep in mind, changing the gauge is not for the faint of heart, which is why I have four of them.

If "W World" means WalMart, I have NEVER seen reloading equipment sold there of any type.
I haven't seen reloading stuff at Wal Mart either and coming up blank on their website. Midway is in stock in 12 Ga at $178 with my discount. Cabela's has them at $185.

$180 in stock and ships for $5 ordered off internet.

This is where I bought my .410 last summer and was extremely happy with service. Only bad thing was they shipped in original container and when it arrived the handle was sticking out of the box though there was no damage.
Fast ship.

Also check E-Bay, saw several. Would guess you might get one in the $100 plus shipping range there.

W World, Wally World, I mean Wal-Mart. Yes, ours sells reloading supplies, the one the next town over does not. Ours has 600jr 12ga for $162.00
Their website will only bring up a couple of things like a lyman powder scale etc.
Search reloading equipment or supplies.
When in stock, ours has powder, bullets (Sierra and Hornady), shotgun hulls, brass, shell shot (different size they have #6 and #7.5 right now) primers, various RCBS equipment dies etc. and some lyman die sets, shell holders, and MEC 600jr and they have a Grabber in stock right now. They also have Ammo storage cases (is it MCM or something like that). They even have Rock Crusher kits etc. Not all Wal-Marts stock the same stuff. But right now ours is mostly empty of reloading supplies and equipment.

Graf and Sons website has 600jr for 12 and 20 ga for $178.99 and 16ga for $192.99 with $6.95 shipping.

To answer the OP's question if you can find it and you want it, buy it. The guys asking price isn't that bad.

Last new one that I bought was last summer, and it was $145 plus shipping from Natchez. I've never paid more than $75 for a used one.

Ebay has them starting from .99 I'dhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/MEC-12-GA-SHOTSHELL-RELOADING-PRESS-G398-/261189160041?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd0164c69

Used MEC should be almost HALF that asking price; more like $75.00, or less depending on how old it is - the older models are worth maybe $50

Try Craigs List, forget EBAY at the moment and especially try your local trap/skeet club bulletin board

Two of the three in my town carry reloading gear including presses, scales, and all of the accessories for both shotgun and metallic

That is definitely high for a used 600Jr. For that price it should have come with several shot bars and every powder bushing available and maybe even a big of shot. But the good news is, you got a good press, providing it is in good working order that is?

I just bought a used one about a week ago for $100. It has been used but it is in excellent condition. This included a 12ga. die set a 20ga. die set and a .410 die set. Also, 250 hulls and plastic wads of each size. Also, about 10-15lbs each of #5, 8 and 9 shot. This one has the universal adjustable shot/powder bar. I picked it up about 30 miles from here so there was no shipping involved. I was playing around with it when I sat down and saw this posting so it could not have been more timely.
