What companies are still in your favor/will you continue to use after all this hoopla

No price increase, 3 box limit, publishes schedule so everyone has a even playing field

The only purchases I have made have online have been:

Missouri bullet co
Cabelas
Midwayusa
Ruger.com for mags

They all were not jacket up crap like many others. I will continue I do business with these for sure. Screw the ones like cheaper than dirt. I hope they go out of business.

Retail stores:
Walmart
Academy
Both LGS in my area were fair as well

They have been great and limit purchase quantities not screw ppl by raising prices. They will continue to get my business for years to come as well.

AimSurplus, Shipped ammo in 4 days in the worst of the panic. I've always liked them through quite a few transactions. Brownells also.

To what end? Fewer companies in the business of supplying our needs would mean less competition and higher prices. The more companies like CTD we have, the better our chances of others remaining encouraged to keep prices reasonable to garner market share from the high-priced guys.

In any market, without the high-price guy, everyone else has an opening to nudge their prices up.

Midway if they ever get stuff back in stock.

Midway really kept the faith. AmmoToGo did, too. Had good experiences with Brownells, Natchez and 44Mag. Best discovery has been Kesselring Gun Shop.

Midway has been my go to source for a long time now, and will continue to be.
If you want cast bullets, do business with Missouri Bullets every chance you get. They have been remarkably efficient during the panic.

Looks like a couple Arkansas boys have the same idea about MidwayUSA and MCB.

walmart, gandermountain and cabelas have been my sources that have acted in a reasonable manner.
My local LGS - sheesh, they just stoke the fires and then raise the price of the fire extinguisher
My favorite LGS in San Antonio (Nagels) has been OK about guns, but on ammo, they are gouging.

CDNN, are you joking? They raised prices on their HK style rifles by about $500 overnight. They raised the price on master molder AK mags from around $8 to $30 or so, again basically overnight. I get their emails and at least some were typical scare tactics fear mongering advertising. They jacked their prices on a number of other magazines as well. They were pretty bad price gougers. I'm not sure how anything they've done would qualify as "great."

No such thing as price gouging - they are in business to offer goods at the prevailing market rate - period. What if they hadn't raised their prices? One person would have bought them all and then there wouldn't be any for anyone. Instead, only those who really needed them were able to get them. They were able to keep a supply of scarce items so that they could keep their doors open

Well, there is a such thing, but what CTD did wasn't it. The term "price gouging" refers to jacking up the prices on necessary items like food and water. Or generators after a hurricane. Things like that. Extra ammo isn't a necessity. Not yet anyway.

With that being said, I would still rather do business with the people who did not jack up their prices. CTD actually cancelled orders, saying they were out of stock, then offered the items the next day at a 400% markup. I do choose to spend my money with people who didn't do that.

That begs the question of why the term exists doesn't it?

Price gouging is in fact a thing, and the definition is as follows: "pricing above the market price when no alternative retailer is available"

Palmetto State still had some .303 in late December at the Old Prices (.75 per).
They did not raise it as quickly as most of them.

My primary ammo purchase will be M2 Ball from the CMP, which is non-profit.
Want to buy extra in case my son is ever bitten by the Garand bug.

If no alternative is available, your high price isn't above the market, it IS the market. I see no price gouging, only Econ 101. Demand is at an all time high, and the manufacturers know it won't stay that way. Supply won't be increasing to meet demand any time soon. Instead, prices increase to keep supplies on the shelves.
