I have a gen 4 Glock 22 that I'm looking for replacement sights (came with crappy polymer sights).

I'm looking for some night sights that are affordable. A buddy of mine is bartering a set of new sights and some ammo for one if my rifles that I don't get out anymore and am looking for ideas.

Thanks

Not sure if it matters to you or not, but I like a rear sight that provides a bit of a shoulder for one handed slide manipulation. I don't know what the front of that Novak rear sight looks like, but if it more or less just tapers down to the slide, I would pass on it. If one-handed slide manipulation isn't important to you, then I'd take the trade if you think you're getting a good deal.

I like the TFO's and now have them on 4 different Glocks. To me they are brighter than any of the others I have in all conditions.
Just saw some for under $80. Pretty good price.

I like the stock sights, but you have said you don't. I have a set of Arotek fiber optic sights that makes it more fun to shoot in low light. I have used the XS sights, they are excellent for the fast draw, not for precision shooting.

Put some XS big dots on my gun. They have worked well for me. Put the dot on the target and that is where it will go every time.

Truglos would have been what I got, but with my horrible vision I figured a larger front sight wasn't going to hurt any.

These would be my first choice. Just as quick to align as the XS sights and you still have a rear night sight. Also, you can still shoot precise shots that would be precluded by the big dot sights. I've tried the XS sights on my M&P and I took them off pretty quickly. My M&P now has Ameriglo Operators but I would prefer the HD sights or a pair of Ameriglos with the hi visibility front. I've gotten away from the three green dot style of night sights. The rears tend to over power the front in the dark. The Ameriglo Operators use a white outline (or colored outline) green front with subdued yellow rears. The two dot night sights are good too. On my 3913 I run a 10-8 rear sight with a white outline green night sight up front.

My experience as well. Nice big front dot for my aging eyes. :)-
