Haven't seen a thread like this and got to thinking about it tonight.
Once all this craziness dies down and things go back to 'normal', what do you want to buy?

  • A Glock 19 and a Ruger GP100 .357 stainless with a 4" barrel.
  • Lee Classic Turret Press, some more copper jacketed 41 magnum bullets and maybe some more cast.
  • Dies and components to reload 30.06.
  • Stock up on some Wincher small pistol and large pistol primers, some more Unique and 2400, as well as expand out to some new powders.
  • Diversify my 9mm loads to a couple different bullets, and get a surplus of some 9mm bullets.
  • A Russian Makarov chambered in 9x18 Makarov, a Nagant Revolver, and a Tokarev pistol.
  • An M44 and other Nagant variants
How about you? :D

As much .38 ammo as possible.
I'm also thinking of switching my 9mm's out for .45acp now that CT has the stupid mag capacity limits.
Doesn't make much sense to hang onto my M&P9, which is now a ten shot pistol when the M&P45 uses a ten round mag, and I get to use the standard capacity mags.
I feel less insulted when I choose guns that already had lower capacities.

I'll renew my plans to purchase a subcompact .40S&W, then perhaps jacketed bullets for 9mm and .40S&W.

When prices warrant, I'll acquire some more .22LR.

Ammo for the guns I have

Then maybe a 9 mm ( M&P 9) or 308 bolt action (Ruger American) but the new guns are secondary

More .224 FMJ bullets.
More CCI primers of all sorts
More .223 Brass

Ruger SR9c
Smith and Wesson M&P .40
although I can buy the above now if I want to.

things that will be covered by the ban that goes into effect July 1 :(

I like bullpups so a ps90 is on the short list. having to buy mags now is a pain.

Another upper. Some .22 LR so I can shoot those. Some match bullets for .308.

Parts to finish the projects That I already had in the works. Also note that I have already seen QC issues with lowers, bolts and bolt carriers.

I can find most of my ammo needs except 22LR so I'd have to say that's #1. However, after this panic, I've really considered getting into reloading so I may get into that when all the components for it become more readily available.

The list is pretty long. Also I would love to buy (or at least handle and evaluate) a few firearms that were hard to come by even before the panic.

For example, S&W Shield in 9mm and the KSG. I don't know when those two in particular will ever catch up with demand even after the panic subsides.

In any case, I need to lose some more weight anyway (I'm using gun purchases as a reward system, and while I haven't lost any additional weight since the end of December, I haven't gained any either --including during the holidays!).

The only thing I would want to stock up on would be shotgun ammo for clay sport shooting. So far, I haven't had an issue getting any at local gun stores. The range I go to isn't able to get the supplies they used to but they have been ok for now.

I've gone through several cycles of ammo being hard to come by so I keep enough 22 LR in stock at home so I can continue to plink.

Gen 4 Glock 22. I keep looking but I keep not finding one. And 2 cases of .40 ammo. One for me and one for my closet.

Maybe a PS90 when ammo becomes available again and gun prices fall down to pre-panic prices.

Otherwise I really have no need for any new firearms.

Replenish my stock of components, first. Then pick up dies for the two or three calibers I have but don't load for at present. Probably then an AR10, set up for 3 gun.

Get each of my kids squared away on a reloading kit. An AR to use the SR25 PMags I bought. If work ever gets good again and prices drop some I still want a Barrett semi auto 50.
I can't think of a thing I need beyond that, I guess I'll always buy up a good deal though.
