Hi guys, I can't find my usual Winchester 209 primers and ran across some good priced Nobel Sport 209 primers. Have any of you used them and can tell me are they good, bad, ugly whatever. Thanks Mac

I've used them and had no issues. If you are getting a good deal on them, I'd buy them.

They're good primers, but once you use them in your hulls, you'll pretty much have to stick with either Nobel Sport or Fiocchi primers, since the metric conversion doesn't quite match up with the U.S. 209's. They very slightly enlarge the primer pockets. At least that's been my experience, and I've loaded about 20,000 of them.

Hope this helps.

Fred

As Reloader Fred said about them being slightly larger than other 209's. But if you can get a good deal on them, use them, just make sure you use them or Fiocchi exclusively. I had the same experience with them on AA hulls.

Well I am not out of Win 209's but found these for $110 per 5K plus shipping. But I don't want to mess up my fine Rem STS hulls on these metric primers. Thanks guys!!

I'd pick them up and use them in throw away shells like Estates and such. If I'm not loading too heavy, I can get about 4-6 good loadings out of them before the paper base wad starts coming undone. And you don't feel bad when you discard of them. Or you can just use them in your STS's when they're on their last few loadings.
I'd just use the remaining Win209's you have in you're good hulls that you want to reuse a bunch.
