More executive actions coming

I believe that Obama is now pouting and thinking of ways to punish those who opposed him and made him look bad in front of his props. I believe he will do anything and everything to punish the gun owners because we are his target. He wants revenge on us, not to save lives but to punish those who made him mad. He's now like a 12 year old who was told "no" to something he wanted and he will become a spoiled brat, out of control.

I don't know what he can do with E.O.s but if he can, he will.
Ban ammo imports?
Ban firearm imports?
Ban importing parts and components for firearms?
Regulate ammo in some way, or tax, including primers and powders?

I have no idea what he can do with an E.O. but if he can, he will.
He's a sore loser and the egg on his face is frying as we speak.
He has become vindictive and we are in his sights.
This man will stop at nothing to get his way.
 
If he could legally do anything meaningful to prevent or reduce crime, why didn't he already do it?

For the most part, it is crime in the big urban areas that produces the demand for more gun control. Chicago and Detroit are frequently the poster boys they often point a quivering finger toward. Why should they want to seriously address what goes on in the big cities?

They have never shown any inclination to crack down on criminals, just blame the weapons for "gun violence." :banghead:
 
His effort to do an end-run around the Hill on gun control by going to the voters (really just his Greek Chorus of friends) failed miserably. More forceful EO's will just alienate more fence sitters in the Senate and House. People he's already called cowards and liars. I really thought he was smarter than this, but I was way wrong. He doesn't remind me of Hitler so much as a Jr. High drama teacher having a fit because his students aren't doing what he told them.
 
A list of vague promises, emotional appeals, hopes and wishes. Nothing important. None were actual "Executive Orders".

Alex jones is a moron. All im saying is step back and look at the whole picture. If you think things like this cant happen, go back and look at history. This man is dangerous and every move he makes is calculated foor a purpose.

I think it's time for him to actually do his job as president and put his energies into the world crumbling around him. Korea, China and the middle east all need his undivided attention. His parading around with his props, spending our tax dollars on furthering an agenda and taking time away from more serious matters has to end. This was his shot on the national level and now he'll return to the state-by-state battles. He'll use his power with E.O.s to get even with us and he'll parade around the country in Air Force One to each state that is fighting his battles. Meanwhile, North Korea will continue to blackmail us to lift the sanctions, China will keep buying up our debt until they control our economy and Obama will push another state to midnight bills. What's wrong here?
 
Import bans are a real possibility. Been done before.

The trouble with spoiled kids like obama is after they throw a temper tantrum for not getting their way, they look for revenge.

5 years into a presidency, the first two with control of the house, and his legacy is a hole in the ground to which the presses toss their paper into.

He is a complete failure in every sense of the word. His vice president continues to embarrass the US every time he opens his mouth and the usual suspects claim to understand the middle class.

Senate bill S. 82 seems to be the best answer right now. With the makeup of the Senate, I don't know if it has a chance. I'm sure most of the left are willing to cede their authority to their fearless leader, especially if it's to get their precious gun control. :barf:

If he's delusional enough to think there are 90% of Americans that back him on it, he'll probably try.
 
If BO doesnt get something he'll be pretty much be a lame duck in his 1 yr of his 2nd term. That would be the earliest lame duck ever.

JUST FOR A MOMENT OF CLARITY:

The white house has "clarified" what the esteemed Mr. Biden (surely must have) meant when he promised executive orders. That is to say the President will go ahead and implement the list of EOs he ALREADY ANNOUNCED back in January.

The list is as follows:

Gun Violence Reduction Executive Actions
Today, the President is announcing that he and the Administration will:
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.
11. Nominate an ATF director.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

I think he is going to go all in on the immigration issue. If he wins he picks up a lot of future votes for his party. If he loses, he's right back where he is now.
 
I am so sick of this power abusing piece of smug garbage. He cannot except that he lost on his anti-2a agenda.
 
He has not issued any Executive Orders on guns. Executive "Actions" are basically a presidential to do list. A pompous post-it note with a press conference.
 
#14 and #16 are the only items that I have a problem with. Most of the others are already in play or already laws, but some of them make sense. Must have been written by an aide or secretary.

We heard the same kind of stuff about Clinton in the mid 90's when the internet first flexed it's 'wild rumor dissemination' muscles. Clinton was supposed to declare martial law and throw us all in FEMA death camps.

I boldly predict that on January 20, 2017 BHO will no longer be our President.
