An Old New Member

I left THR many years ago, before this thread even started, and only recently remembered my username and password. So I decided to come back. I've gotten rid of most of the firearms that I posted about years ago. I still shoot, mainly .22lr because of today's costs.

Hello. Was a member under different name years ago. Lost info and have just been lurking for years and years, decided to apply again. Always been a very informative place.

Hello the camp

I am 3rd generation Wyoming Rancher. And like so many others in my way of life, love to shoot, hunt and fish. NRA life member
My primary interest over the last decade or so has been bpcr shooting. For a few years before that I was a dedicated flintlock shooter. I like the old guns, and shooting them the way they were designed to be shot.
I have been a guide from time to time, but found that to take up to much of my own hunting time and turned something I really enjoyed doing into work..
My wife likes to shoot almost as much as I do, so when I say I need to think about getting powder or primers , she says better get it ordered as soon as you can.
And that's how we come to have this deck on the upstairs when we remodeled the house. This was a couple years back on New Years day. You guys can watch your football, we'll burn a pound of powder.:D

Hello all,
New member. With ammo prices being nuts just wondered if there ever was anyone who reloaded for the 5.45x39 with Rem .222 nickel plated brass. I know, tougher to work, but are case splits reduced?

Hey everybody! New around here, been in to guns for a long time now. 24 years old, did 5 years in the USCG, was a DC3 and on ships the whole time. Done a little bit of hunting, but I am not very good at it. Lots of target shooting, and clays. Gathering reloading stuff up currently. I hope to be a useful member around here.

I am sitting at computer while my sick wife is sleeping or we would be at Church. Found a good thread here that was answered in civil wording while showing strong feelings, impressed me.

I have not hunted in years but now have grandson who is old enough his granddaddy needs to take it back up just for bonding if nothing else. Have always enjoyed shooting and at best fair shot with shotgun but decent with handgun and time to fine tune high power rifle. Which is what had me here.

I am looking at a used Ruger Hawkeye that really looks good and as owner of other Rugers (handguns and 22 rifle) am comfortable with their quality. It is in 3006 caliber due to my belief few calibers that do the job to make ammo stocking easier and lest costly. Oh I shoot long gun left handed so finding a good used bolt action in LH to me is rare.

"Howdy" from Willie Sutton, I guess I am the new guy on the block. A refugee from TFL where I was a regular poster for quite a while, but tired of the dictatorship of unneeded heavy-handed moderation there. Handloader, fairly serious cap and ball pistol shooter and reproduction cap and ball revolver collector, amateur gunsmith, fairly advanced Mauser 98 collector, early-generation semi-auto military rifle collector (SVT-40, K-43, FN-49, original AR-10, G Series FAL, semi-auto FG-42 on order, etc), Modern EBR shooter, former armorer at SARCO (College Job), and in the works for my 07 FFL to which I will add a Class 2 SOT as soon as it is issued. Orange Gunsite, acolyte of Colonel Cooper, and daily CCW carrier. Patron NRA Member, etc. Hope to find some of the friends I made at TFL here, as well as meet a new bunch.

New today

Hello all,
I made an account and lurked for a year, just now becoming an active member. I'm very into Soviet and other com-bloc surplus, and other functional, not fancy, firearms.

Hi everybody, I'm from Alabama and love the Glocks. Been toting one for about twenty years now and own most of the different models. I'm also into revolvers and other automatic handguns... some long guns and shotguns. I love to go shooting at the range on weekends (here lately when I can afford to..lol).

Regular visitor to THR but figure I would register already. Live in Eastern Alabama, OEF veteran, have a love for Walthers hence the name. Really all I can say about that.

Hi from Virginia

I retired from the Navy with 22 years of service. I have been around guns since I was 15. I still have my Remington 22 rifle that I bought when I was 16 I have just acquired two pistols from my father-in-law (94 years) one is a Schall & Co 22LR (manufactured in the 1930's) and a High Standard 22LR Supermatic Trophy (manufactured in the 60's) both guns are in great shape. I'm happy to be a member of The High Road.

Good evening,
My name is Drew, I have been shooting since I was 6. My grandpa thought it would be funny for me to cut my teeth on sub nose .357 mag, I almost lost some teeth. But it starting my love of big bore, I know bigger isn't always better. I am currently active duty USCG, (10 years in and 10 to go) so I have "some" LEO training. I am looking to get into USPSA and long range shooting. My dream rifle is the M82A1 though I would settle for a Mcmillan Tac50 if it is still legal by the time I save my pennies.

My name is Ron. I've been shooting for a long time, but do not know everything or pretend to. I am looking to get in to some longer range shooting (or at least to 600 yards) with my .308. Will have to get used to using a scope, as I've only shot irons for 30+ years.

I reload for what I shoot, except for one caliber. I'm a rifleman at heart, but have been doing a fair amount of revolver shooting the last year or so.

Favorite pistola calibers are the .357 and .45. I've learned over the years no matter how much I practice, I am not a very good wing shooter... :banghead:

Got wind of THR from a private club site. Lurked for about 3 days before signing on. This will more than likely be the longest post I ever make, as I'm not much of a chatty kathy. Nothing personal to anyone.

One son, one ex-wife, one motorcycle, one truck, once car, one garage, one house... might be more than one firearm I own though.

Hello, I am into guns in the sense that I think it's important to protect our Constitutional from being shredded. I am relatively new to firearms themselves.
