Hey all,

I'm more than a little concerned about this- people I know who are not the most pro-gun people I've ever met- are jumping on this like a trampoline. Supposedly the proposed protest calls for the marches to carry their firearms locked and loaded, and the "manifesto" of the group includes some sublte threats that are fairly alarming. It's garnered some bad press- as you might expect- and I have a bad feeling that if this foolishness goes much further, we are going to get egg all over our face in a bad way. To make it worse, apparently the group's facebook page includes no small amount of racist and otherwise disgusting content that only serves to reenforce negative stereotypes of gun owners.:cuss:

However, all of this seems too perfect... I'm thinking this may be an elaborate false flag operation.
Either way, the lid needs to be clamped down on this thing quickly.

Have any of you heard much or more about this? Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks,

-Chris

Midwest- thanks for the link to the other thread, I appreciate it. I must not have seen it when I was perusing earlier.
To the Mods- maybe the threads should be merged? I don't want to take up bandwith.

Gun Wielding- I agree with the protest on principle, I just think that maybe there is a better way- and possibly a better person- for it.

Thanks,

-Chris

I would suggest carrying empty 30 round magazines into DC for first amendment purposes, like what David Gregory did.

Screw that.

If they go to Washington with guns, there will be shooting. That will happen whether their guns are loaded or not.

Might as well carry the ammo too.

Or, you know, leave the guns at home.
