I guess maybe gun owners aren't so paranoid after all.

Please watch the Youtube video referenced in the ANJRPC message below and listen to the official recording as well.

Someone will be watching those counts - lets get the word out. Please help NJ make an impression on these folks.

NJ SENATORS’ TRUE VIEW OF GUN OWNERS REVEALED BY HOT MICROPHONE FOLLOWING YESTERDAY’S HEARING

Call the Senate Majority Office Immediately to Express Your Outrage
And Demand That Monday’s Bill Package be Held

An astute person listening to the official audio recording of yesterday’s Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing noticed that the official recording continued following conclusion of the hearing. The discussion that was caught, apparently among several senators and staff, is outrageous, and reveals legislators’ true view of gun owners.

A YouTube video with an excerpt of that recording has been posted here. The following lines can be heard in the recording:

"We needed a bill that was going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate.”

"They [gun owners] want to keep the guns out of the hands of the bad guys, but they don’t have any regulations to do it.”

"They don’t care about the bad guys. All they want to do is have their little guns and do whatever they want with them.”

"That’s the line they’ve developed.”

The discussion appears to be among Senator Loretta Weinberg (D37), Senator Sandra Cunningham (D31), Senator Linda Greenstein (D14), and at least one member of Senate Democratic staff.

This discussion can also clearly be heard at the end of the official audio recording, beginning at 1:52:30, currently available here (find Thursday, May 9 from the menu, then click "listen”). It is possible that the official recording will be sanitized following release of this alert, and the official YouTube video could be deleted, so be sure to listen to it promptly.

The discussion reveals absolute contempt for the Second Amendment and those who exercise it, as well as complete ignorance of the fact that gun rights organizations like ANJRPC have long advocated for clear and specific legislation punishing criminals who misuse firearms, instead of misguided legislation (like the bills currently being pushed by Senate Democrats) that demonizes hardware. Senator Loretta Weinberg is the chief proponent of the anti-gun legislation being moved through the Senate.

In advance of Monday’s full Senate floor vote, please immediately call AND fax the Senate Majority Office, tell them you are outraged by the misguided, disparaging, and clueless comments of those pushing the anti-gun bill package, and demand that Senate Democratic leadership hold the entire package of anti-gun bills currently scheduled for consideration by the full Senate on Monday, May 13.

Youtube pauses their counter at a certain amount when the video is first uploaded to verify the content if it's getting a lot of views. Then the counter will resume.

I AM SHOCKED I TELL YOU!!! SHOCKED!!! :what:

And in NJ... Who would have thought??? :uhoh:

The Old Fuff is reminded to have road blocks set up at the Arizona border, and not let any cars with NJ plates in until a full background check is compleated of the persons therein. :banghead:

You're a little late. Half of Jersey is already in Arizona. Its the new Florida.

That's why the cancer needs to be stopped here. Or you'll be seeing it there soon enough.

In New Jersey a pro-gun politician from either party has trouble being elected.
And that is why New Jersey needs support from the NRA, Gun Owners of America and other gun owners from across the country. While the easiest and perhaps logical thing thing is to leave New Jersey and move to a pro-gun state, it leaves less people to carry on the fight.

Hopefully this revelation (Open mic) is a rallying cry and is a wake up call to every gun owner and pro-gun organization in the country.

Corruption = New Jersey
Democrats = Corruption.

When it comes to the second amendment, there's no arguing that Democrats hate our right to bear arms. Even if you're a Democrat you can't like your rep's stance on gun control and still like firearms.

Living in NJ is pretty challenging for those of us that enjoy firearms.
I hope the politicians that made these comments get exposed as the thugs they are.

The Dems, and the anti-(legal) gun proponents lie and say they just want universal background checks. "Common sense", "reasonable" new gun laws heaped on top of the existing gun laws, and other laws. Nothing could be further from the truth. Their goal is the registration, and confiscation of every gun owned legally in the U.S. Do not believe their rhetoric. They think we are stupid.

This is all over the gun boards. I love The Gun Wire!

No real surprise.

And no real surprise the enemy thinks they know our position. Let them live in la-la liberal land. The only reality they must know is we will not be intimidated by their supposed higher intellect and false liberal superiority.

Wow! I feel for NJ! Two levels of ignorance
1 what they are talking about is unconstitutional
2 they can't even tell that they are still on the mic.........

The NRA could spend its entire budget in NJ and it would make little difference. In NJ the US Constitution takes a back seat to petty politics. The stark fact is that most NJ voters don't care about guns or Second Amendment rights. The same can be said for most of the northeast US.

i ran environmental job sites in NJ in 96, 97 and 98. Without going into a rant, i'll simply say the culture of political corruption there is not equalled in the other 18 states where i have run jobsites.

The gunowners of NJ have my profound respect.

Not ignorance - arrogance.

They don't care whether the mic is on or not.

And corruption is not unique to NJ. Far from it.

You make a good point! Glad I am in Missouri however it saddens me with the stuff that happens because there are no rules to prevent, such as Highway Patrol turning over CCW database here in Mo....

The politicians at ALL levels of Government are corrupt.
The Board of Supervisors in my township bears this out!
