Drummer Lee Rigby, rundown yesterday, held at gunpoint, and hacked up with machetes in a Woolwich street, blocks from his unit's (Royal Fusiliers) barracks.

Will Piers Morgan explain to Rigby's family and the members of his battalion how effective UK gun control is? Will he be on CNN tonight explaining to America how little gun violence there is in the UK? Two men, known to the UK Security Services, in possession of a handgun brutally murdered a soldier in broad daylight outside a barracks in London. They were captured because they stayed at the scene for 15 minutes waiting for a Metropolitan Police Armed Response Unit to arrive. Upon their arrival, the murderers were shot while attempting suicide by cop. Both are in hospital and likely to survive. I hope Piers can explain how effective UK gun control is to that boy's parents. :fire:

Control..? More like loss of control

...

Yep, that naive stance along with ours that OBL is dead and the free world has the terrorist back on their heels..

Right..

I saw him genuflecting.. bloody handed and all. It's surprising someone didn't smash him on the head with a rubbish bin or something.
I think we here in the US have learned from a few certain actions on 9/11 that proactivity is sometimes required. Luckily, in this case, they weren't true berserkers. needed his head smashed anyways

Sadly this is a Banner moment = for US !.

US being the citizens of this FREE nation [ free to own guns ].

we need to let all know and see what REAL gun control is about.

Even the police had to stand around and do NOTHING.

Just ask yourself and any others that might be on the line about guns --- what would have happened if the walking garbage had decided to keep hacking and beheading all those in the area ?.

NOTHING is the sad answer,at least until TWENTY MINUTES later when the key to the armory was found so the police could unleash those 'evil' guns to take care of the bad men !!.

Note that at least one of them had a handgun.
Handguns are illegal in the UK.

'Only the outlaws will have guns' and so forth...

How much you want to bet he tries to somehow blame our " gun show loophole" for the gun.....

" we'll it's obvious they traveled to America an bought a gun without a background check at a gun show, then swam back to England to commit this murder... American gun culture is to blame for this soldiers death!"

Things like that give me the willies. I saw the video clip of the blood-soaked killer with a meat cleaver telling us they were going to conquer us all.

Here in the US -- or at least those parts that respect the Constitution, he'd have been toast.

The best argument against Peirce is this;

The 2nd Amendment is to arm citizens against thier govornmenty enslaveing and killing them. More people died around the world due to Genocide than were killed, in total, in War.

The last Genocide in North America was Mayan Indians killed in Guatamala in the 80's, nearly 300,000. They were disarmed first.

Since the Constitution was Ratifyied, we, in the U.S. has sufferd NO Genocide.

Just how does Europe and its policies of "Gun control" compare to that?
How many disarmed people died in Europe in the last Centurey due to Genocide?
How many died because Hitler and Stalin implemented Gun Control??

I read the police had to summon a special "firearms team" because it's uncommon for police to be issued guns over there.

They can conquer all the Brits. How would they resist?
They're going to put up signs, "No meat cleavers allowed."

PS -- they're not going to get guns from us. The last time Americans donated guns to the Brits, on the promise that they would be returned when the war was over, the Brits made a sidewalk and encased those guns in concrete/

It's not just gun control over there, they have extremely strict knife laws also.

Nice to see that those laws keep people safe! ...NOT

PS: This story is a good response when people ask you in that accusing tone "why do you need a GUN??"

I now here the U.K. told all it's soldiers to hide their uniforms when outside the barracks so they wouldn't get attacked. That is what it has come to in the U.K. Their unarmed cops have been told if they meet any resistance to not fight and to retreat and call the few armed ones to come help them.

Can you see the U.S. Marines hiding their uniforms so they won't get hurt (well at least outside California?)

Yep ...... come to my neck of the woods and we would have a different score.

Its the difference between "Genocide" and "War"
Stalin killing Millions of his own Soviets was Genocide, Hitlers invasion and subsequent killing of millions Soviets was "War"

It was the US gov that killed the Indians and conquord their lands. treaty ended those wars.

It wasn't Genocide because the US gov was not killing its citizens, it was takeing lands from the people who lived there, recognized Tribes and nations of people and then claiming their lands and subjugating them. If they weren't recognized as Nations, there would have been no treaties, but the US did, infact, enter into repeated treaties and broke each and every one of them. The Gov, in its branch, the BIA, still somewhat 'Honor" Indian country" as its known.

Indians (and other Native American Tribes) couldn't vote, own property or make claims in courts until 1924, despite being born in the country and territrries, possessions of the US. There were no massacers against American Indians or other Native American Tribes once they were recognized as Citizens, hence, No Genocide here, since the Constitution was ratified, is fairly true.

You will be hard pressed to find one of those treaties that was not broken by the US.

In most cases, violation of previous treaties by civilian citizens is what started those wars. In some cases, the incident that violated the treaty was a massacre of peaceful native americans who were in the way.
