TV shows and anti gun propaganda

It's amazing how much crap is on TV. Does anyone watch these shows that the 3 networks put on. Other than a couple of citcoms, the rest are unwatchable, and last night I saw that there are at least 3 new cop shows on.
If real police ever saw the kind of action in their entire carreer, as these Bozos see in one episode, they would need all new parts.
There is one called Brooklyn DA which is the, "real deal", it is a reality cop show, showcasing real cases that are still active or recentlly finished. It was the only show I have set to watch again. They show the way the cases are made from beginning to sentencing. They also use real Police officers, Prosecutors, investagators, etc. it was refreshing and informative for people to see how long a case takes to develop and get to the courthouse stairs. I saw a defense attorney I knew, in last nights episode.

Don't get me started on bad T.V. but I do know from experience that racking a Remmy 870 will make 2 15 y.o. wannabe burglars piss themselves....

Don't watch TV, unless a documentary of interest is on. Have netflix and vudu, for when the occasional "pay for a disappointing movie" urge hits.

I wouldn't have basic cable TV at all, but inet and phone service is bundled with it, with no other means of inet connectivity available here.

Have looked at sat bundles to see if money might be saved, but after intro, S.O.S.

Last week on the local news there was a story about two armed robbers that entered a store with guns blazing! Come to find out no shots were fired. :banghead:

I saw a news piece just yesterday when they claimed a mentally troubled 18 year old boy bought an "assault weapon" AR-15, at a Walmart for $165, and nobody challenges this "news" story. I just about came unglued. This is what passes for a news story today. You just tell me where that Walmart is, I'm buying everyone they got.

Wait a minute.....Do you all mean to say that not everything I see on TV or read on the internet is true?

Yeah can you believe it? It's been that way for over a week now. I noticed it the last time I turned on the tube. ;)

I bet no one grabbed a fire extinguisher to put them out either. Dang nab it. :)

Assault weapon - 1. any firearm designed to shoot more than one round without reloading 2. any firearm.

Sorry mods. I'll get back on topic now.

Not sure if someone else mentioned it, but I actually grew up believing that all guns are registered, and any detective can go to the registration hotline and find out where any gun came from, who owns it,and where it is supposed to be because of Law & Order.

I can't sit through more than a few minutes of any of the NCIS, CSI, or Law and Order shows. I used to like the original law and order, but a lot of those episodes are just too much. Being in law enforcement, the military and being both a gun and computer enthusiast, shows like CSI and NCIS particulary hit me from all sides. If they're not spouting anti-gun nonsense, the cops are doing foolish things no cop would/should ever do. And if they're not doing that, they're spewing inaccurate garbage about computers. It's always something. I would be that if I was trained in medical knowledge, or knew about cars, or anything else, I would notice those glaring errors too like others have. Basically those shows don't get anything right about any topic at all. The writers themselves don't know anything about anything, so of course the shows are just representations of their empty heads.

Stay away from American Dad.

Seth Macfarlane does nothing but insert his leftist views into every episode, while subtly poking fun at the right.
