Whooo....yikes. Funny, but lots of negative sterotype and bad gunhandling. But then, most humor if funnier if it is overblown and folks act stupidly.

IMO, If it not worth posting a couple sentences about... it not worth clicking.
"How you know you are shopping in Texas." Bunch of people in a gift shop of some kind. Woman picks up a big bottle of perfume with a stopper, pulls how the stopper with a loud "pop," and everybody else in the stores pulls their carry pieces. 26 second long. Took me longer to write this than to watch it. It was funny, but not hilariously so.

I don't think it is the least bit funny since it is loaded with totally unsafe gun handling and seriously dangerous muzzle sweeps. BTW, this has been around for years and I think it's ridiculous.

My word...really? Complaining because there was no info given on the video? Boo-Hoo. Also...it was made to be funny...not a training video. Some of you sound so ridiculous....why don't you try loosening up a bit...didn't you know laughing can add years to your life? Give it a try.

I found it quite amusing...as did my wife.

Lighten up Dan. You may just be jealous of their state. I have seen it several times and it is funny! Especially because the woman that pulls the cork doesn't even know what going on behind her back.

Black shirt .45 Rambo sweeps the innocent TWICE and is in no way FUNNY.

This is stupid video and ridiculous.

You think it's funny, laugh. I don't.

This is all subjective anyway. There are lots of comedians I don't think are funny either and trying to talk me into it won't help.

BTW, California LTC holder here for 10+ years, no jealousy.

Loosening up has nothing to do with it. I am currently rocking my sick 2 year old in my lap as I type this. Having 3 kids means the only chance I get to play on the internet is when one is climbing on me. I have clicked links with language, violence, or inappropriate dress with them seeing it. I have learned not to click links without descriptions because of it.

Truth be told, I enjoy cussing, violence, and inappropriate dress, but when you little kids running around you have to be careful what you pull up online. Some humor is not fit for kids. It is not too much to ask to give a description. It is more to it than having a sense of humor. Seeing as how you are a man that has - Proverbs 25:24 as his signature, I hope you can respect that

I have kids as well (a 6 year old and a 1 year old that's just starting to walk)...I know the plight of shielding your kids from mature subjects whether on TV or the internet.

I also know however, that when you click a youtube link...you can easily pause the video before it even starts playing and read the description right below it if that is truly your main concern. But really....is the title of the video really going to tell you if there is language in the video? Sadly, even children on youtube drop the "f-bomb" without any hesitation on videos that seemingly have need for it. Just seems like weak reasoning in this case...

Oh, and another thing. We routinely lambast Hollywood ruthlessly for unsafe and ridiculous gun handling techniques such as unsafe muzzle sweeps, trigger violations, cocking auto pistols, ad nauseum. Page after page after page.

So we give this idiotic video a pass? Not me.

Well most of the time, on a forum like this, a little more description is given that just the title. A description gives me something to make an educated guess before I click it. Doesn't seem like it should be that much trouble to add a couple of sentence to a link. Kinda lazy by the poster be honest. Sorry but I don't click blind links on the internet when my kids are around. If you can't respect someone not clicking a link they have no idea of what it is when kids are around then me and you are just going have to agree to disagree.

I stand by statement that a brief description of a link is not too difficult to provide. I also stand by my statement that not clicking blind links with kids around is a good policy to have.

Hadn't seen that one before.

Wouldn't have clicked on it with no description. Others' descriptions made me curious.

Laughed like [STRIKE]hell[/STRIKE] heck even knowing what it was going to be about from another's post, so a description in the OP would not have ruined the humor.

Watched it thrice.

Lighten up fellas. Gun handling is serious business, of course, but something like this is permissible, and I'm sure everyone (+ the safety person) double-checked their guns 4 times.... making it eight checks altogether. Certainly not one of those "Hold my beer and watch this" videos.

There's some commercial out showing a guy asking a performer for a chance to juggle his chainsaws, I think as a demonstration of where excessive confidence can lead you. (Not a very effective ad, as I can't remember the product.)

I wouldn't confuse it with a chainsaw safety video, nor would I think that my crew would watch it and suddenly become unsafe chainsaw users.

It's parody. If it wasn't exaggerated or stupid, it woudn't be.

Believe me nobody is trying to talk you into anything. Just more of a suggestion that when somebody posts up a video intended to be funny that it is no way an open invitation for a debate on safety.

Maybe you are a LTC holder, but if the video were titled shopping in CA whenever the lady popped the cork off of the bottle everybody in the background would have went into the fetal position instead of pulling their gun.

Hum? I didn't see much humor in it at all, I live in Arizons where CCW permits aren't necessary and we can carry open, and I've been in more than just a few encounters that required a defensive reaction. And I feel Texas is no more a gun friendly society than Arizona is.

Somehow I find this hard to believe. Either that, or you must be engaged in a rough trade, or live in a rough neighborhood. Or maybe I'm reading more into what you mean by "defensive reaction." But, we are talking here about a video (funny or not) in which guns are drawn. So it is fair to assume you are talking about having drawn your weapon "more than just a few" times. Well, based on that, are you saying that y'all do it better in Arizona than they do in Texas? Would you have found the video more humorous if it was depicting Arizonans?

That's an old video. It was an advertisement for an online shopping service in SOUTH AFRICA, with the tagline "Shop online. It's safer." It was amusing at the time.

Haha, I think its funny.
As has been stated already its NOT a training video, its a parady. I'm a stickler when it comes to gun safety but can still find the humor in something like this video. To those having a hissy fit about it, I take it you don't watch or enjoy any tv shows or movies with guns in them because they all are filled with bad gun handling, tactics, and safety proceedures. One could pick apart almost every cop show out there. It's ok if your sense of humor isn't the same as someone else here just don't get on you "high horse" and chastise those who can actually find the humor in it.
