I am in the process of assembling parts to complete an AR build. I've decided on an upper I need to decide which a bolt carrier group & which charging handle I'll be using.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with PRI's Gas Buster charging handle or BCM's Gun Fighter charging handle & what their experiences were.

they have different purposes. the gas buster directs the gas to the right side of the gun (bad for a lefty, good for a righty). the gun fighter redesigned the latch mechanism to stand up to modern manipulation techniques taught in most carbine classes. both are quality parts. being a lefty i have no use for the gas buster. i use the bcm or lmt or other tac latches.

The PRI is not near as robust in the handle mechanism BUT it is the BEST IMHO for reducing the gas in the face for a right handed shooter of suppressed ARs ;)

The Gunfighter is built better than the Gas Buster. That being said. Unless you're going suppressed, the PRI is completely unnecessary.

If you're going with a BCM charging handle then you mise well pair it with one of the most reliable BCG's in the industry. A BCM. You're going to pay a little more for one but only because they are the most sought after BCG in the industry.

I have both and I have a suppressed rifle. Frankly, I don't notice a difference with less gas. Most of the gas is coming out the ejection port so the charging handle really doesn't contribute.

Otherwise, the BCM is superior in every way and is actually what I run on my suppressed rifle. The PRI has since been relegated to my spare parts carbine.
